Hi girls, has anyone had any problems with getting a doctors note to say you’re fit to have the surgery? also does anyone know if you have the letter do they still have to contact your GP?

    thanks!

I called my GP and the receptionist said a medical history summary would be left behind reception for me to collect that day. I then took a pic of it, uploaded it on the Mya App and then a week or so later I asked my PC if everything was ok (it was still showing as needed attention on the app rather than being green) and she said the nurse has received a reply from my GP and it had been approved, so yes they will contact them directly as well to make sure it’s all correct and truthful xx

    Hi Alex,
In my case ( assume is the same for everyone) mya contacted my GP. My GP then got in touch with me and asked me to write a letter stating what procuder I was having, and pay £30 for private letter. A week later I had phone to call to say my GP wouldn’t write consent letter, and to make an appointment to meet with her. Made the appointment, we had a chat about why I was having the surgery( risk involved etc), and wrote the letter right there and then. Hope that helps
