Has anyone taken their own dressings off? I’m really itchy and want to take them off, I’m sure it’s the adhesive.. I’m 1 week po and not had an appointment for my follow up yet . Do they take them off after a week. I don’t want to risk an infection but I can’t wait to take them off or get them changed. I’ve had breast a enlargement and uplift so I’ve got dressings and tape around my nipples X
I had to go the hospital yesterday I am 6 days post op. My tape bandages were so itchy and irritating so I called the hospital and moved my 1 week follow up appointment 2 days early Cos I couldn’t keep itching – they took it off and I had blisters under the tape because I had reacted to the adhesive – been so much better now. Got new covering and plasters for the blisters / they burst it was nasty but much better now
That sounds painful, I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’ve taken mine off tonight I couldn’t cope any more . The itching is unbearable😫Ive still got the tape around my cuts which I’ll leave. I’ve bought some more dressings from Superdrug to put on for bed. I think I’m healing ok. I can feel it scabbing over. I’ve got appointment next Thursday for a check up. I just hope the itching stops cus it’s a joke
