Driving after op

Hi all. When did you drive again after your op and how did you find it?

I drive yesterday at 10dpo pretty sure I could have done it by day7/8 but had no need. Was totally fine and drove fairly long journeys that included the motorway. Seatbelt didn’t cause any issues, and I could change into all gears. Was a bit harder to park as I’m not as quick whipping the steering wheel but other than that literally no issues. X

I drive around 10DPO, I tried earlier but personally didn’t feel 100% confident so I didn’t. I had bruising so when I did eventually start driving, I found the seatbelt sat right across my bruising and made it uncomfortable. Xxx

Heya, i started driving 6dpo and then was back in work 7dpo driving buses. Think the time depends on yourself and how you are feeling. I felt ready to drive by then as i had an incredibly quick recovery. X x

I drive an auto but didn’t feel comfortable driving until 2 weeks post op x

I hope I can drive soon after op. I’m hoping to pass my driving test asap but don’t exactly want to tell my driving instructor that I’m getting a BA. aha.

I drove at 8 days post op. I found it rather difficult actually in the automatic as the steering wheel was pretty heavy, I felt better in the manual but only did short journeys as it made me feel quite sore. Xxx
