    Hi girls,
Bit of a random one but has anyone else suffered with really flaky dry skin post op? I’m over 2 weeks PO now and all over my body pretty much everywhere except my face is just covered in flaky dry skin! It’s like when you get sunburnt and its really thin peely/flaky skin after? Just wondering if anyone else had this and when did it go? I’m using a good heavy duty moisturiser and going to be scrubbing it in the shower tomorrow but I’m getting sick of it! You can literally see it on my clothes I can’t wear black atm and I usually wear dark clothes! Never had anything like this before! Any advice would be fab 🙂 x

Hi, I’ve got the same, more so especially on the sides of my boobs! I have been putting it down to not moisturizing daily how I usually do due to healing and being in pain. Im 13 days PO today and it is my first day back at work. I have slowly started to incorporate using moisturiser again every day and am hoping that will sort it out. I just have to do everything much more slower and carefully. X

Same here, 3 weeks po and still flaky all over. I also thought it’s because its winter and you tend to get dry skin in winter and I haven’t been moisturizing or scrubbing lately because of the pain etc.. but even when i did scrub yesterday and moisturize i still got flaky skin a few hours later. Dont know what that is!

@merlissa same for me! The sides of my boobs/sides of my ribs but it’s literally everywhere. I’m gonna have a shower today and use a good body scrub to try scrub it off then moisturise and hopefully improve it? I haven’t been moisturising as much as I should but I’ve been doing it more than I normally would and never had this before! It doesn’t seem to be doing anything at all I feel like a need a good scrub! I’m 18 days PO now and it’s even on my back where I can’t reach.. Hopefully it won’t last much longer! Glad I’m not the only one! X

@lala111 I’m 3 weeks PO on Friday and gonna do a good scrub and moisturise today. I haven’t done it yet for that reason too, my arms have only just got more mobile the last couple of days! Oh no I was hoping it would sort it out.. Awful isn’t it! Winter doesn’t help but still I’ve never had anything this bad! The nurse said it should go once I start showering everywhere regularly again (I’ve been showering top and bottom separately up until now because of pain and not being able to wash my own hair) hopefully it’ll go soon! Can’t be bothered to moisturise twice a day everyday! X

@lorna let us know how things go xx good luck
P.s i am 2 days ahead of you in the journey so we’re nearly taking the same steps at the same time, i cant use my arms freely either until now, and oh i get what you mean by the hair wash being difficult, same here noway, luckily i get my mother to shower me, she does the hair wash, back scrub and leg wash as i cant lean down at this stage yet. Get a chair in the shower it helps alot to scrub all your body without leaning down, just put the foot of the leg to be washed on the chair and a do a small bend better than bending all the way down
