    Hi Ladies

Just after some feedback regarding exercise, I know we have to wait 6 wks PO, to engage in any such exercise, which 4 days PO is killing me.
I was just wandering for those of you a little further down the line than me how u found it, what u felt was too much and what you would recommend and not recommend.
I love Spin and just wandering if I were to do it remaining sat down, no standing and jiggling around would I be ok at the 6wk point.
Gotta make do with walking for time being 🙁 xx

I’m not going through Mya, I have gone direct to the surgeon and he said I’d be ok to exercise after 3-4 weeks as long as I take my time. I’m gonna start off with some squats at home and a few slow movements and once I feel up to it use the bike at the gym. My surgeon said I could actually go running at 4 weeks but I’m gonna see how I feel. Xx

Yeah I was told 3 weeks lower body (cycle, x-trainer without arms) and 4 weeks running, and I’m just over 3 weeks now, but all I’ve done is walk and 4 squats x 5 times over the course of an hour, a few times. Really boobs are too tender to want to do more as yet. xx

Took me about 6 weeks to run, and it is a killer, I felt so fat and out of condition. Don’t worry, just take your time. You have the rest of your life to get fit – take care of your new assets and don’t rush. Oh, and wear 2 sports bras at first – just makes you feel better! Good luck x

    Thanks No0108
Hope us don’t mind the add
Did u use ur Macom for exercise if not what sports bra would u recommend?
I’m feeling minging ATM, not doing owt, but like u said don’t wanna put my puppies at risk xx

Will add you now, I’m a year PO. Never macom for exercise – it wasnt supportive enough. I got a shock absorber in a cup size smaller 32d for my 32dd, and put a m&s zip up run bra over! I just run with the shock absorber run bra now – they are the best on the market. Enjoy being a slob for now! It’s a rare trat to do nothing! x

Fab, that’s what I wanted some advice in regards to bras for running.

I saw M&S do a zip up one gona get one of them anyway.
    Thank you.
Had a mosey at ur pics, hrs looks fab. Can’t wait for mine to settle and round off or fluff as they say 🙂 xx

Thanks for the advise no0108 I’ll try with 2 sports bras when I’m ready, don’t think I’ll ruin until about 6 weeks but I’m hoping I’ll feel up to light biking up lower body exercises at least. Xx

Thanks holly. This is whats really bothering me not being able to exercise and worrying about getting back into it d also if people notice I’m taking my time at the gym. I’m thinking of making up an injury I’ve had or something. Xx

Hey girls, I’m a gym freak also and it will kill me not going for 6 weeks, I was planning on taking my dog for like an hour fast pace walks a day? Up stairs etc, will that be ok? That’s good excersise too and if you keep your diet up you should be fine! Remember 20% fitness 80% nutrition girls! X

Hi Sarah – thanks for the add 🙂
I was told no dog walking, if he has to be on a led, due to the yanking at your arm.
I’m going for a little walk everyday atm but yesterday day 5 PO, I walked up to town, emptied my handbag of all the normal crap and tbh I felt I went to far and the holding of my bag, which I alternated between each arm was drawing on my arm, which in turn is linked to my new girls and made me uncomfortable.
I had to get bus back from town, which is prob only two miles away but I felt like I wouldn’t make it back again
I had unders so I’m aware the recovery is slightly harder than overs. X

No problem 🙂 I would take the dog with my mam so I wouldn’t be holding him. But I just will have to see how I get on! Hope your feelin better! I’m trying to tone up and lose as much weight as a can before March so it’s just a case of keeping my diet up after the op but it will kill me! What size did you go? X

I asked about long walks at 1 week check as it’s 3 miles from my house to work so was going to walk there an back some days instead of driving for exercise but she said that was too much at that stage so not sure about dog walking! It’s horrible not being able to go … Mine was over Xmas too so felt ever worse cuz of all food and drink lol but worth it for the twins and now I’m back on it 🙂 x

    hey ladies!

I am now 4 months post op and I really think it depends on the individual with exercise as there is no specific time limit as everyone is different – it just depends on the individual and trust me you will know how much you can do when you start working out. My surgeon said I could exercise lightly at three weeks so I started at three weeks and just toned down my usual gym routime – I am an exercise freak so found even 3 weeks hard to wait! Instead of running on the running machine for 30 mins I would power walk and walk/walk on incline and I used cross trainer without arms. Then at 5 weeks I introduced running and I was absolutely fine as I wore two sports bra and they didn’t move. like obviously you don’t want to jeopardise your healing process so early on but if you work out a lot and feel you are ok to start at three weeks then take it lightly and see how you go – your body will tell you if you are doing too much!

@Sarah I wish I had got rid of my Xmas belly before my op, as feeling minging atm 🙁 but then my girls will be healed by summer and got a few months to regain myself before it’s bikini weather time.
I think winter is the best time to get a BA as easy to stay covered up etc
@ZM1989 what sports bras did u double up on and wear, will defo take ur advice with walking on walking machine, thanks 🙂 xx

I think for the first 2 or 3 weeks you need to try to keep your heart-rate below 100, and climbing lots of stairs and fast walking may take it over, to avoid blood clots I believe xx

Hi All, hope you don’t mind if I add a few of you cuss I’d like to know how you all get on with your exercise. I’m having my surgery in Friday and I’m sir worried about the exercise especially cuss I live weight training and running. My surgeon said I could run after 3 weeks but I’m just gonna listen to my body. I’m gonna try and stick to clean eating while I’m not exercising but I know it’s gonna a be hard when sitting around the house. When have you ladies got your op? And thanks for the advise zm1989. Xx
