2DPO and I feel like a beach whale. …… seriously my tummy looks like I’m 5 months pregnant and it looks like there’s fluid retention on my thighs and they are tender to touch, please tell me this is only temporarily? I also feel like a tramp…. my skin is oily, hairs a mess no make up. Urgh

My skin was oily for the first 3 days, I used johnstons baby wipes and they worked a treat. My hair I have just used dry shampoo and ya can’t tell that I haven’t washed it for a week and it smells nice too.. nice break for my hair as I’m always washing it lol… as for the swelling not a lot we can do about it, it’s the anaesthetic and painkillers… I’ve been using senna and that’s easing it now… it will all be worth it in the end Hun xx

@cgargano91 it will get better I promise you!! I’m 10 days post op now- I’ve felt so hideous and fat. I literally looked huge since the op. The pain didn’t bother me at all but hated my belly and thighs being so big. now, most of the swelling that was making my stomach look like I had a baby bump is gone 🙂 hope that reassures you a little xxx

Me and my boyfriend stayed away a few nights after my op for me to rest and recover away from the dogs and housework and I honestly felt and looked 6 months pregnant! I had seen posts about it but never expected it to be that bad, my nurse said it was totally normal as the general anaesthetic slows your bowel down, and painkillers don’t help! Hang on in there, it’ll be gone before you know it xx

Is keep an eye on your thighs swelling, your retaining water if that’s the case. Are you still wearing your stockings? Xx

I’d probs just keep your eye on it. Are you mobilising a lot? Or are you resting up? Xx

They are quite swollen round the sides of my thighs looks like they’ve doubled and my belly looks pregnant. I’m resting up but have 3 set of stairs in my house and I’m just going down to the bottom to make tea lol xx

Maybe try mobilising a bit more? Helps with water retention. That’s if your not in to much pain. Xx
