Hey girls, today marks 6dpo and I am finally feeling like my old self but with much bigger boobs. I’ll be honest, I’ve not coped well with the pain at all even though I have kept on top of my meds. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get out and even though it was a walk to a park and back with the kids I think it did me the world of good. I’ve woken up with less swelling and I’m in a much better frame of mind. My boobs have started to drop slightly too so that’s positive too. I also started using ice packs! Omg why did I wait so long they have been brilliant haha

I’m 7 dpo today and also starting to feel a bit more normal!
yesterday was the first day I could face going out too although I regretted it as was in a lot of pain yesterday- felt like I’d pulled a muscle and had a horrible burning pain the whole time I was out.
Today is my first day on my own with my little ones as my husband went back to work so glad I’m feeling better.

how old are your kids. mine are 3 and 1 so still very demanding and I can’t lift at all so it’s quite difficult!

Hey Laura yes I felt like I would regret going out and I did slightly but I think that’s what has made me feel better today. Fresh air and moving about has such benefits to recovery. My two thankfully are 7 and 9 and are very helpful, I’m sorry but I can’t imagine having to do this with ones as young as yours so well done to you and I hope it’s not too bad.
Sara I’ve managed to wash my hair for a 2nd time today without my daughters help and I feel much better for it! I’ve been measuring my recovery by looking back over the last 6 days knowing I’ve been able to get even just a slight bit more done than the day before. I still can’t drive and I can’t even contemplate it yet so it’s going to be a long walk to town with the kids later but it’s just another measure of recovery. Good luck with the rest of your recovery ladies. Xxx
