So today I payed my deposit and booked for the 13th of November!! I have Dr Marcellino and he’s offered me between 400-450cc HP overs (hoping he uses 450!)
I am super excited seeing as I’ve been waiting for the last 8-10 years for this having always put it off.

Does anyone have any advice/tips as to what I would need on the day or even pre/post op. I’m unsure as to what bra to go with because I’ve seen mixed reviews of Macom and cheaper branded ones so any advice on those would also be very much appreciated πŸ™‚ xx

@mamaoftwox Thanks doll! Hope you’re feeling alright after surgery πŸ™‚ what size were you before if you don’t mind me asking?
I’ve been looking at the Macom ones because of the expanding cups so I wouldn’t have to fuss with having the wrong cup size etc. But then I’ve seen people say they’re rubbing their scars? Which Macom did you get?
I’ll definitely get a V shaped pillow. I’ve seen ones called a Batwing pillow which is similar to a V pillow but with lumbar support in the middle. Seen a few people say the base of their back aches sleeoing upright so wondering if that would be any better. Xx

I wasn’t properly measured I haven’t been measured since I stopped breastfeeding my first child but my back was a size 30. I’d guess a size 30B? Deflated.

Left was far bigger than my right hence the 50cc difference.

I got the signature 1007 Macom bra. I’ve got 3 in total. I can’t comment on that as I’ve not had my strapping off yet but they haven’t rubbed me the wrong way yet. πŸ™‚

I’ve angled 2 pillows underneath my V pillow to take some weight of my lower back / bum xx

@mamaoftwox What size did your surgeon say you could be? At the moment I’m a 34/36 empty c. I’ve never really had big boobs anyway but went up to a 38E when I was pregnant/breastfeeding and then the disappeared soon as I stopped lol. My surgeon said I’ll be anywhere between a D-E which I’m more than happy with, was looking for something round a DD πŸ™‚

Ah thanks for that, I’ve been eyeing up the one with the longer band thinking maybe it’ll avoid rubbing anything….

Sounds like a good idea πŸ™‚ do you find you’re slipping down in bed? Or is the pillow okay? Xx

@becky22 with the Macom its having the straps in the right position for yourself and then it doesn’t rub the incisions. The nurse told me the Macom should actually sit about an inch below you boob (roughly 2/3 hooks with the signature bra) a lot of people put it directly under.

However saying this I only wear my Macom to bed, I prefer the M&S high impact for day time xx

@hannahlaura thank you! so as long as it’s positioned a bit lower it should be fine? There’s so many different opinions it’s hard to pick what to get lol. But I suppose everyone is different. I’m thinking of getting 1 Macom and one cheap one and go from there. If the Macom feels better I can always get another one then. With the m&s one is it a high impact sports bra or a post op bra? Xx

He said I’ll be around a 30F/G post op which is exactly what I want! All hail big boobies.. right? ???? I’ve been flat chested for so long.

I do slip down the bed sometimes but that’s only if hubby interferes trying to cuddle me. The V pillow and my own are just enough to support me xx

@mamaoftwox oh my Lord they’re going to be wonderful! I bet you can’t wait to go buy new bras! It’s so exciting when you haven’t had boobies before lol. I can’t wait.
Well my other half is working abroad till January so I’m lucky in a sense because he won’t be trying to cwtch me haha. I can make a little pillow fort and hopefully stay as upright as I can xx

    @jade1032

@becky22 yeah it’s fine! The Macom is actually good for straight out of surgery especially if you have strapping as It’s hard to guess you cup size as it is without having to think about the strapping as well lol.

So I have 3 from M&S 2 are extra high impact sports bras and 1 is a surgery bra but they look the same. Il attach links.
