Got sent the first lot of paperwork and sending back my wage slips, bank statements and signed agreements… how long does it usually take for them to get back to you about it?

Do they give quite a bit of hassle going back and forth etc? I have started the ball rolling now even though my op isn’t until August as I don’t really want to be right up against the clock if that makes sense?

Any info from personal experiences with FML would be appreciated =)

On the paper work can you choose the date when your payments start coming out?

and if youve asked for the paper work now does that mean u have to start paying them next month, or can u ask for the paper work now and say im having my op say august so take it out a month after then?..im confused lol x

The money doesn’t come out of your bank account until you’ve had your operation.

So I think the date you choose is just a rough guide as to when you’d like it to start coming out of your account.

I think… lol jeeez at least I hope so!!

I sent mine off special delivery on a Friday and had decision by Tuesday afternoon. Once they’ve received it should only take 24-48 hours for decision. Bet it will be a relief to have it all sorted! X

jessicarabbit… I think I am having 410 overs, but sometimes have second thoughts! Lol it’s only natural I think. Dr Singh is doing the op =) and I’ve paid £900 so far, taking £1300 on finance. Fingers crossed everything will be sorted with FML…

Deedee, I was under the impression that you don’t pay any money back to First Medical until after your operation? And it’s not usually for a few weeks afterwards either? That’s what my Dad told me they said? Grrr

    Confused lol xx
