First Trust hospital? Post op patients

I’m curious as a lot of people seem to be in hospital for a while even day case can you pay extra for a meal for the person with you? Also do they offer something other than toast when you wake up? I’m gluten intolerant

Hi Hun I was admitted at 11am and discharged at 9.30pm so was a longggg day!! They do have a menu for visitors and I just chose tea with toast and ham and some orange juice. Took lots of snacks though aswell! Took them over 2 hours to bring my food I had to ask 4 different members of staff was gutted as was dying for a cup of tea!!! Was nice when it eventually arrived!! They do have sandwiches on the menu but I’m sure if you mentioned it they would accommodate you xx

Hiyaa i had my op in first trust hospital about 10 days ago, got there at 8am and the nurses come in and out before op and one of the things they came in for was to take food order, im allergic to gluten too they have gluten free toast, i was an overnight case and had a gluten free sandwich for tea and a banana xxx
