    Hiii
I was just wondering from the post op girls how long did you keep your garment on before you completely stopped wearing it
I kept my padded vest on for 6 weeks then moved to the spanx. I’m 2 months post op now so I really want to stop wearing it! The surgeon has said I can stop if I want to but I think I’m still swollen around the abs and am scared if I stop wearing the garment il expand more lol!

Hi Amy when I stoped wearing my garment I would wear fat pants (spanx) when I was at work during the day as this would help but you can get too attached to your garment it becomes a safty blanket but the swelling will go trust me and its all worth it. but like I say if your too scared to take the jump of no garment just wear spanx (primark have the best ones you can get a thong version so no VPL)

Hi amy, ive had upper/lower abs, flanks and upper/lower back done. I stopped wearing the padded vest just before my 4 weeks mark, it was smelly and really beginning to aggrevate me!! Its only to make sure the skin went back smooth and to keep you in a good posture. The nurse emphasised that i defo didnt have to wear it any longer! I carried on wearing my compression garment for another few more days. I rang the nurse and spoke to her because i was worried also about swelling etc but she mostly said it depended how i felt. So with that i stopped wearing the lot, i took a few days getting used to not having the vest and garment on. I havent swelled, i keep checking my measurements to se if they are the same. The only think the nurse did suggest was wearing a compression vest for the gym, which i have been doing. Running felt wierd but once i got used to it it was fine, my abs set will take a bit of getting back to the standard it was!! My results are changing everyday and some days bits have settled and look different, but as they say the final results arent visible from around the 3-6 month mark. The at has gone and aslong as you maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle you wont get any bigger. Like amy said i think we get so used to the garment that we feel we need to wear something just as a little extra security, but i havent felt ive had to. xx

    Hiya thanks for replying
I didn’t wear the garment (the Macom one) yesterday and it felt like I expanded! So I got worried and put it back on today
Okay il try and get something like spanx as I do feel I would like to wear something for a little longer!
If I was to go garmentless now do you think it would ruin my final result?

    Hi Katt
Yes that’s it – it’s the security of having something on lol
The vest was a headache and I’m so glad to have for rid of that
It’s the waiting and the not knowing that scares me as I just hope it was all worth it! When I took the garment off for a day yesterday it felt so odd so I put it back on today!
My surgeon has said the same thing just keep the garment on for exercising! I will start to exercise soon I think – I just feel really weird at the moment and my abs and flanks are still sore 🙁

You will expand a little bit from the garment as its so tight and it designed to keep you all compacted so once you take it off you will just be what you are now because you’re not compressed, does that make sense? I felt totally wierd after i took it off, after a couple of days wearing jus the garment i noticed that where it was compressing my waist so much i actually got an indent around my waist and looked concave!! Thats when i stopped wearing it and after around 3 days it went evened out! but it did freak me out! I still feel sore in placed, like around my abs and ribs and my hip bones and because the nerves are still coming back to life its wierd in the gym!! but im just going with it. The say 4 weeks and thats what i did, i did some research on the net and some companies dont even sugest 4 weeks, only 2!!! Im back seeing the nurse on the 22nd. xx

How did the appointment with the nurse go? I’m 3 months post op now and I removed my garment and am wearing some spanks from primark! It feels so odd not wearing the garment! Should I continue to wear the garment at all now or just leave it? I’m not as happy with the results as I thought I would be, that’s why I was so scared to remove the garment completely! What do you all do after 3 months? Sorry for the questions I’m just worried il ruin my results by even moving lol x

    Hi everyone 🙂

I’ve just had Vaser this morning on lower and upper abdomen and flanks, it went perfectly and I was even called a ‘model patient’ although I thought I said ‘ouch’ once or twice but it was absolutely fine. My Traynor was lovely.

I’m not in any pain at all, but I know I may experience a little perhaps later tonight or tomorrow. My main worry is this horrible vest, it’s so BIG I didn’t expect it to be so big as when I researched the garment it never mentioned the vest or showed any pictures of the this vest just the garment.

Really hoping I make a quick and easy recovery so I can take the vest off ASAP, as my 30th birthday is in a week and I have lots of dinner dates.

Did anyone find it quite restrictive to move in the vest or is that just me? How long did you keep the vest on? I know the garment stays on longer but I’m fine with that? I’ve also found myself leaking quite a bit but that is expected and worried that I’m just going to get all smelly as I can’t get to see the nurse in the time period because there is no availability.

Any advise help, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

    Lots of love xoxoxo

Leaking is good will stop after 24hrs so dont worry, yeah the 4D vest isnt great but you get used to it and it will make a difference to your result, I cut the back of mine a little so it was less obvious.
It will all be worth it, dont over do it these first few days.

    Hi everyone 🙂

So I am 6 days post op for vaser, feeling more human and mobility is getting better!

Just wondered did anybody have indents when they took their vest off? I’m guessing this will go away in time, but I am trying to lightly massage the skin with coconut oil after a shower.

    Hi Reem

I’m 5 days post vaser and have the same problem. I was told it’s just because of the fluid from swelling that I have lines. Hopefully once the swelling has gone down it should be ok. I haven’t started massaging yet too tender sounds like you’re recovering really well. Hope you get the results you want x
