I’m due to have surgery on the 18th of Nov, and I was just wondering how long you should normally leave it before going out for dinners and stuff and then on to proper going out ?? Xx

Guess it’s gunna be one of those wait & see how you feel … Sorry that’s not overly helpful!!

I went out little bits (coffee, light lunch etc) after a week but actually out out took me like a month & even then I couldn’t wait to get home.

I agree with X, I’m 15DPO and wouldn’t want a night out yet. I’ve gone out for lunch, a Costa and looked in one or two shops so far. It really is a ‘take it one day at a time’s thing x

Hi ladies, interesting to read your comments on this.
My surgery is booked in Feb. I was offered 22nd November and was worried that I would miss out on the festive party season. The next date was 2nd Jan and didn’t fancy that either so have gone for 4 Feb. My only concern (apart from it seeming an age away) is I am supposed to be going to Florida on the 11th May… I really don’t know what to do re timing!

Chenford you’ll be fine by May if you have surgery in February or earlier easily:) agree with the others it depends how to feel, i was going out for meals, working, driving at 1 week post op but definitely wouldn’t want a night out for about 6 weeks honestly, too protective over them getting damaged haha xx

Thanks Heidi! I’m going with quite a raucous group so just a little concerned about them being settled by then. I have asked to go on a cancellation list just in case something comes up in Jan.
I’m so excited as I’ve been contemplating this for years and now I’ve finally made my mind up, I just want to do it!

Has anyone else had the 3D imaging? I’m wondering how accurate it is. X

You said you was back in work after 1 weeks post op, I will only be able to take one week off work also, I just do office work so nothing too Manual
Do you think 1 week is enough time of work ?? X

Hi ladies, I changed my surgery from 4 Feb to 17 December as my surgeon had a cancellation. So happy about it although I have a dinner that has been in the diary for a while on Friday 21st…
It’s probably too soon to go out for dinner but am hopeful I might manage it. Xx

Hiya! I’m 6 days post op and I’m back driving and have been going out since 3rd post op! I’ve been so lucky! I’ve had nought to nothing in terms of pain, it’s just a little uncomfortable and very itchy! I’ve just been shielding myself if people are to walk passed me or anything, but overall SOOO happy with everything’s xxx
