Hi girls! So I had my op today at London Fitzroy with Dr Giannis and it was great. I got there for 9am… went up to my room and got changed and waiting for all the checks to be done. I went down to theatre and 11.30 and I woke just before 1. Before I went I had a massive panic attack in the room and also when ideas on the bed in theatre. I hid my hand from the anethisist so he couldn’t put the needle in haha eventually they talked me round and as soon as they injected me within seconds i felt so relaxed and all I can so is if u feel anxious get that stuff in you cause it’s amazing! Felt like I had a bottle if wine haha I woke up quiet shakey which is normal and I was a bit confused, I went back to the room where they gave me some tea biscuits and toasts and I had regular checkups, I left at 5.30pm 🙂
Honestly, the worst thing about this whole experience was not being able to eat until about 2pm! I was so hungry and felt sick but as soon as I had food I felt normal again. The pain isn’t bad at all, just tender and a bit uncomfortable so far. I had 400cc in my right and 375in my left, wearing a 34e sports bra and it’s fits quiet snug!
Il keep you all updated but just to assure you, i am the biggest wimp ever and cry about everything so if I can do it in sure you can ! 🙂 I love them already x

Hi, can I ask how did you get home after your op ? As I understand it was a day case for you. Im planning to have a day case too but just wondering if I will be okay going back home in a cab ? Hope you recover quickly and smoothly !

Hiya I’m not sure if that question was directed at me or not but il answer anyway… I was a Day case my husband drove me up there we parked in clipstone mews carpark pre booked on my parking space app and then it’s literally 2 streets away so we just walked back to the car after and drove home. They won’t let you leave the clinic unless you have a chaperone, so even if u have a cab you will still need someone with you and to be honest u will need it well I felt I did anyway I was abit sleepy from all the pain relief x

Hey my partner drove me home too, I would advice going home the same day in a car because you still have a lot of pain relief in your system and it hardly hurt at all I could open the door ect but I’ve work up this morning in a bit more pain so I’m glad I’m in my own bed 🙂

Oh okay thanks girls, I literally have nobody that would drive me to or from the clinic, so was thinking to get to to a clinic on a public transport and order a cab for my way back. But since I wont have anybody accompanying me on the way back maybe its best to stay in the clinic for the night so that they can monitor me just in case ? So confused about all this. So the staff wont let you go unless someone picks u up ? 🙁

That’s right hun I’m not sure what rules apply the day after the surgery maybe give them a call and ask where you stand if you were to stay the night x

Your post made me laugh – in a good way! I’m also a complete wimp, so you have made me feel a lot better about the whole thing!
I’m very early on in the process, having my first initial consultation on 13th Feb, so still trying to do lots of research.
Hope to see updates from you! x
