I’m considering a BA but I’m worried it will affect my ability to breastfeed afterwards. Has anyone not been able to do this after having a BA? I’ve seen mixed answers when researching online…

My doctor said doesn’t affect at all, however i read while researching that your milk will be 60% of what you initially could breastfeed. But I decided to go for it in the end, even if thats true what’s wrong with formula milk? Most of my friends didn’t breastfeed at all, they didn’t have milk although they never had a BA and their babies have now grown up to be healthy children, if that happens to me its no problem and i have good boobs for life, also what if i decided not to have it and i turn out to be like them and I don’t get milk? I would probably end up giving them formula but be stuck with my ugly boobs

It’s actually quite rare not to make Milk at all lamis. I have lots of friends that have breastfed after having a boob job with no problems. :-).

A ba shouldn’t affect your milk suppile Hun a friend of mine had a ba and Breast fed without any problems only issue was that she ended up needing an re op and uplift afterwards but again it’s down to each woman on how there boobs would be affected xxx

@abo ya i said my surgeon told me it doesn’t affect at all, but i was just telling her worst case scenario. Also so many people i know didn’t make milk at all except for the first few days and I mentioned above that they didn’t even have a BA so its backing up what i first said that BA doesn’t affect breastfeeding and you can end up (not breastfeeding) due to other reasons not making sufficient amounts of milk etc.. not because of BA but because of your own body
