Hi ladies, my op is less than 2 weeks away and I’m getting slightly nervous as I aren’t telling anyone about it apart from my hubby as I just know no one will agree with it. Has anyone been in the same position and no one noticed?
I wear a x2 size bigger bra so know one knows how flat I actually am.
    Any help/advise would be great!

Hello, I told hardly anybody. I’m now 16DPO. I don’t think it’s been noticed so far! I had to be quite anti social to start with because even if no one noticed a size difference they would’ve noticed that I found it uncomfortable to move! It’s hard to conceal the fact that you can’t reach up high or lift things! X

Thank you that puts me at slight ease, I’d say I’m more worrying about people finding out than the actually op! I have 2 small children too so know it’s going to be hard. What cc did you have as my stats are similar apart from my weight is slightly more x

    Hi
I only told my hubby. I didn’t tell my parents until I was 3 weeks post op. Just couldn’t be bothered explaining myself to people. Once it was all done and I was recovering well I decided to tell them. They were shocked but fine about it. Too late for them to have an opionion anyway x

No problem #Rach. I’ve been really against telling people! I just think it’s a personal thing that don’t see why I need to tell everyone.
I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. It’s been do-able so far, mainly because my mum and fiancé have been a great support. I only told my mum because I know she’d see a change as she visits all the time!!
I had 420cc in my right plus a mini lift and 400cc in my left. I had Allergan implants though rather than Mentor, so the cc’d are different. I was so scared they’d be too big but so far I’m so pleased! I’m wearing a 34D post op bra at the moment. D sounded a big to me but remember that a smaller back size will mean a bigger cup size x

Just pleased to hear there is others in the same position as I feel everyone seems so confident in telling people. That’s lovely that you have the support off them. I’ve been offered 250, 275 and 300cc ….still can’t decide…scared I don’t want to go to big and them be too noticeable. It does sound big when your used to nothing I’d be happy with a C x

Hey, I have told a handful of family and friends, the majority of people don’t know. To be honest my sister who is petite and tiny had hers done a few years ago and is a DD/E now and nobody can tell! It all depends on how you dress and if you’re obvious with showing your boobs. Mine won’t be obvious as I’m having 250/275cc so I’ll still look natural 🙂

Hey, nope I won’t be one to be showing them off clothes wise, but will be nice to choose clothes without having to consider no boobs. With the op been soon I was hoping baggy jumpers will be a good disguise lol. I have also been offered the same and 300cc and your stats seem similar to mine x

Well good luck with your op 🙂 I think we’ve picked the perfect time of year to have them as yes we can just disguise them under big jumpers etc. and then when they’re fully healed we’ll know how to dress for our new body shape (although saying that my boobs will be similar size to what they are now I’m not expecting a huge change)

I’ve been considering BA for a few years now but didn’t have the guts to do it. I’m not going to tell anyone I’m having it done (mainly because I don’t think I’d get a lot of support to go ahead and do it, I’d most likely get discouragement), and although I researched surgeons about 5 years ago, I’m going to take the plunge towards the end of this year and will go to initial consultations soon, and hopefully have the op in a couple of months. I’ll be coping with the aftermath on my own too.

Hi, that is also why I’m choosing not to tell anyone either but it’s something I’ve always thought about doing and still can’t believe I’m finally going to have it done. So excited but nervous too! Good luck!!

I didn’t tell anyone apart from my parents and partner. I also had 560cc so biggish implants I’m now 9 weeks post op and no one has noticed a thing at work or otherwise. Even my little boys father who notices everything hasn’t said a word. It is doable at first I was covering myself up in hoodies and jumpers but now back to wearing vest tops and things and nobody has said a thing or looked at me differently xx

Hi @redrose that’s so reassuring to read and I’m only haveing 300cc max so no where near as big as what you have had. How did you find the pain after especially having a little one?

To be honest at times it was quite hard. My little one is still in his cot and I had to lift him in and out of here and into his car seat so struggled with this a bit. I had help for first 10 days but would have been far easier if I’d took cot sides off and got him used to sleeping like that. Apart from that after the 10 days help I was fine to do most things. The first 4 days were the worst I had quite bad back and rib pain and was so tired in the afternoons so the help was very welcome.
You will def be able to hide them and after about 4 weeks you won’t need to as much once all swelling has gone down. Especially if you ve been wearing a padded bra for a while I really doubt anyone will notice. And if anyone does say anything just say it’s my new bra it’s pretty good isn’t it haha xxx

I’m aa year post op and prior to it I told my partner only. I took it as holiday from work and told them it was medical, nothing else. I only told my parents the evening before because I knew they’d be against it. A year on and I’ve still not told anyone really. A few friends know because they are also petit so I shared my good experience but generally u wear baggy Jumpers at work (a lot of men so I don’t want staring!) and because they’re so suited for my frame a lot of close friends haven’t worked it out even on nights out haha.

Sorry to jump on, I’m planning on getting my boobs done, but I wouldn’t be telling anyone. Don’t think people would approve haha! And I don’t want to explain myself to everyone haha
I just wondered if people did this alone? Like go for surgery by themselves. Is this allowed or do you have to have someone with you? Xxx

I believe that you would definitely need to have somebody with you to be discharged from hospital and they also recommend that you have somebody stay with you for the first 24 hours too, just in case of emergencies. On a practical level you may also need a little bit of help from somebody with any tasks involving lifting, carry, reaching, stretching, pushing and pulling for the first few days at least – I definitely did.

Thanks Becca, thought that but I just wanted to be sure. I have 2 children and live with my partner so I would tell him but l don’t think I’d want anyone else to know about it xxx

As long as you have somebody who can look after you for a little while and help with the children, then you will be fine. My partner really stepped up after my op and he was so kind and understanding and patient and helpful, I never knew he had it in him!

Haha well he will have no choice ?. They are 8 and 3 so both in school/nursery full time so I think that would help too xxx
