Hello everyone – I am currently at the stage of deciding whether MYA is the best choice for me. I love how much response and stories are online from you all. But most of the after photos look like the round very high profile implant. I am aiming more towards the natural, teardrop shape, maybe medium profile.
Has anyone had something similar done here? Or am I better to look elsewhere for the look I am wanting?
I get that a lot of people want the round high chest, but I don’t think this will suit my body, and I am pretty set of the teardrop look. (I’m size 8, slim build, 5,6)

Any photos or storys on having this done would be brilliant 🙂 And also your recent experience with MYA, because I have heard mixed reviews. Thank You !

    Hey @oliviaamy421
I had 275cc moderate plus profile round unders 7 months ago at MYA and am super happy with my results. I too thought I wanted teardrop implants as I wanted the natural look but it all depends on what you currently have. I was ironing board flat so my surgeon explained to me that teardrops would have meant my chest bone would have still looked very bony, plus there is risk of them rotating etc. She also showed me that round implants still naturally drop downwards so you still get the teardrop effect, just with fullness at the top too. I went for a small cc and moderate plus profile as I didn’t want the really rounded look either. My advice would be to speak to a few surgeons and be really clear on what you want, some may tell you it’s not possible (as any implant will only enhance the shape ti already have) but keep going until you find the right one – you will know who he / she is when you meet them! Good luck xxx

Oh that’s a shame as my surgeon specialises in the natural look and uses a special teardrop implant. He is well researched and I trust him 100% he definitely knows his stuff!

Before my consultations I was dead set on having teardrops, but two different surgeons have both said round will be much better for me and will still look natural as I’m wanting them to look natural as possible.
When you meet your surgeon be prepared to come out of the consultation with something different to what you expected as I was pretty shocked they said round for me I didn’t think I’d want that at all lol! Good Luck xx

@oliviaamy421, I am having teardrops with Dr Gianitrapani on 13 feb with MYA. UK surgeons prefer the round look, but world wide, the teardrop is preferred for the natural look. I will post pics once I have any, but look around and talk to as many surgeons as you can. I want teardrops because i want the natural slope down my chest. x

@oliviaamy421 hiya I am also booked in (not with mya) having teardrops unders moderate plus profile on feb 16th haven’t 100% decided on size yet still debating. I can upload and share pics and updates once had it done. I totally agree with @lelestar about the U.K. surgeons. I too definitely want the natural look. Xxx

I was set on teadrop too as really want the natural look but now realise thats what under the muscle achieve and the round high look are over the muscle. Rounds also act like tear drops as if you hold them upright they move to a teardrop shape. Implants really have come a long way. I was also put off tear drops hearing how they can turn and leave a distorted breast. X x

I was originally down for teardrop implants as I too wanted the natural look. On surgery day it all chsnged to hp round overs. Id lost too much weight and the top of my chest was tight and flat. I went with his advice and I’m pleased with the results. I don’t have the stuck on look. I’m 2wks po and they’re starting to drop they look great. He’s done an amazing job.
Best to go with the surgeons advice it’s his job to create the look you want to achieve.
Good luck on what you choose to do

I had teardrop implants five weeks ago as wanted a very natural look and that’s exactly what I got 🙂 I didn’t want to chance them looking ‘fake’ and like basket balls on my chest as I didn’t have a lot of breast tissue and I’m so happy I went with teardrop, my surgeon also reassured me that the chance of them turning was very small as they are textured, but to be honest I think both round and teardrop look great! It’s just what you prefer xxx
