So I’m now 4 weeks post op and have got my 6 week appointment with the nurse on the 5th of September. I’m sure she advised me to keep wearing sports bra/macom pretty much 24/7 until this time however I feel like having these on all the time is preventing my boobs from dropping properly and when I look at other peoples pics on here, they’re boob journeys seem to be progressing much better than mine. So I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing or whether anyone else has been advised to do anything different?

I was advised the same – supposed to have my 6 week check up on 29th aug but due to other reasons, i’ve had to delay it until the 5th sept. My sports bra is starting to get too small so i’m soending more of my time in my macom – this seems to let them drop a little more (i could be imagining it!). You’re welcome to look on my profile at my progress pictures to see if it puts your mind at ease! x

And I notice you’ve had UHP – i’ve heard they take slightly longer to drop than HP so i wouldnt worry 🙂 x

Yeah I heard that too but I’m comparing myself to other people who have had uhp and theirs are still dropping quicker than mine! I just didn’t know whether wearing sports bras/macoms 24/7 was impacting them at all

My surgeon doesn’t recommend macoms for that reason, he also doesn’t like front fastening bras as he feels they displace the implants. Did they specify it had to be a macom? I’ve found this bra really comfortable… http://www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-rich-non-padded-full-cup-bra-b-g/p/p60110204?image=SD_02_T33_7139_Z0_X_EC_90&color=WHITE&prevPage=srp&pdpredirect
mine have settled well but I did find the UHP is taking longer than the HP (I have different profiles due to asymmetry). It could just be because they are UHP as I know some people swear by the macom xxx

Well I bought the macom before my op as I had no idea what cup size I would come out at and then a few days afterwards I managed to make it to M&S and got the high impact sports bra, and to be fair I do like wearing that more in the day but when it’s evening and I’m at home and chilling, I do prefer the macom. I’ve got like a week and half until my nurses appointment so might just see what she says then. I think I’m just comparing myself to others too much but everyone drops at different rates x
