Hi everyone. Now 6 days post op and expected to be a bit better than what I currently am. The pain has definitely lessened but I am so tight that I’m having to walk hunched over!

I’ve seen so many girls on here say that around day 5 they felt they were over the worst and have been out for walks etc which I can’t imagine doing as even moving around the house for too long leaves me exhausted.

Did anyone else take a bit longer? Or does anyone have any advice for me? Xxx

I think everyone’s slightly different and it depends if you had under or overs and also how big they went etc. I had 325 overs and took til about day 10 to feel mostly normal. I’m day 16 now and still get the odd twinge but have full movement in my arms again and feel totally comfortable throughout the day, still a little achey when I first get up on a morning though xx

@laura2104 I had 330 unders I think I just didn’t anticipate the time I’d need to give myself to recover. From next Monday my fiancé is off on annual leave for two weeks i just hope I’m able to manage out and about for some of it.

The bloating in my stomach is wild too I look very pregnant haha xx

I’m exactly the same! I’m 5dpo and expected to feel so much better, instead I’m on the sofa most the day, when I do stand up in hunched over and just feel completely spaced out and sick! Oh and not to mention my rock hard bloated stomach! I had 425cc unders! Your not the only one feeling crappy babe! I had a major diva tantrum about it all earlier hahha xx

@annierosex I feel like I’m gonna show your comment to my fiancé as I don’t want him to think I’m just putting it on, think he’s getting sick of me asking him to do things! Hopefully not too long for us both until we feel human again xx

I looked pregnant in the first week, it was horrendous! I commented on it to my nurse at my one week check and she said everyone will go through it as the general anaesthetic slows your bowels right down for at least a week, and then the painkillers etc on top of that only make it worse. Unders are worse! You need to rest as your body is putting so much energy into recovery so don’t feel bad did not doing much, and I promise it won’t last too much longer xxx

Hey ladies I’m having 375 unders on the 5th. I’m getting really worried as I’m going to pretty much be on my own from the day after the op! 😮 my sister said she is going to try and work from home to help.
Any advice? Can I ask how you are with the toileting? I’ve read some people can’t even do that by themselves 😮 xx

I had unders and had a terrible recovery. Took me 4 weeks to feel normal. I’m 13wpo and still have nights when my muscles are tense and the spasms wake me up. We’re all different. I think Ive just been a bit unlucky as most girls feel better around 2 weeks. Hope you feel better soon. It really is hard but it’s very much worth it all. When they finally drop and fluff they really feel like your own and look amazing xx

@mae14 hi! Good luck for your op! I was able to go for a wee on my own but I had to take it very slowly and move my arms very carefully lol.

Defo keep on top of your painkillers and make sure you have a comfy seat with everything you’ll need in reach – magazines, tv remotes, painkillers, water, sick bowl just in case! .
Make sure any food you need is set out as on the first day my fiancé went back to work I found myself having to use a potato masher to fish things out of the fridge as I’d forgotten to ask him to move things down for me and I wasn’t able to reach up, ha! Xx

@connie16 sorry to hear you’ve had a terrible recovery. I guess it really is an individual thing. Glad to hear about the drop and fluff though, so far when I look at them I’m feeling a little underwhelmed, hoping they’ll start to look and feel better xx

@Steph ..seriously , keep the faith .. you will get there and it will all be worth it. Mine took until week 8/9 to drop and look really good. Then from week 10 the big gap on the cleavage (this seemed to take ages!) and all side boob disappeared and they started to look even better. It’s awful when you feel so unwell but remember each day is a step nearer to the final result. Xx
