How long/Stages

Hi,
So trying to get myself all organised… wondering if you girls can help with a few questions I’ve got in my mind…
– how long do you usually wait between for your first consultation and surgery? I’ve got my initial consultation next weekend and hoping to get surgery late January/early February
– What different stages do you go through from your first consultation to surgery day?

I don’t have alot of info but just wanted to say I am in the EXACT same position as you. My first consultation is next Wednesday the 27th. I am hoping to get the surgery asap. I have just been told it’ll depend on the surgeons availability hun. Xxx

I’m glad someone is in the exact same position! Not long for you, mines next Saturday the 30th! Fingers crossed they can get us in ASAP! What clinic are you going to? Xxx

Appointments become available about 3 months I advance so a lot of people book 2/3 months in advance. It really depends on which surgeon you chose and their availability as many of them only work for mya a few days a week. You are able to pick a surgeon and book at your initial consultation in order to reserve a date. That would mean paying a £500 deposit there and then. At your initial consultation your pc wil advise you on surgeons and then usually people would see one or more surgeon before choosing and booking. It can take a few weeks to just get an appointment to see a surgeon so unless you want to put money down without having met a surgeon I think late January early February might be a bit soon. Some girls do just chose a surgeon and put money down at that first consultation in order to guarantee a date but personally I really wouldn’t chose a surgeon without meeting them first. X

Hi, I think it depends on what you want. I had my first consultation with my pc on 28th nov and had surgery today. Suppose that would be a little rushed for some but the accommodated my needs the best they could x

I phoned to arrange a consultation and told them I would like it done in January if possible so I sort of had a phone consultation then on the 4th of December I had my consultation with the surgeon and pc and booked my surgery on the day which is 24th jan.. think it just depends on which surgeon you pick and what they have left on the dates you would like. Hope you manage to get it soon. X
