Hi just wondering if any one could help me?! I have recently discovered that one of my implants has ruptured, I was just wondering how long was it from when you told MYA to you getting an appointment for surgery? Also did they replace both implants or just the one that had ruptured? Do you have to have them replaced with the same size implant or could you go smaller or bigger? Also was there a charge for the surgery? If so how much roughly thanks

Hey. You should be fully insured if they have ruptured! I should imagine you’d go in for surgery ASAP as it’s dangerous

Hi, can I ask how you found this out? What were your symptoms etc? How quickly were you seen by your surgeon? I hope you manage to get it sorted asap.

I found a lump in my breast so I went for a scan at the hospital who confirmed it had ruptured, also I had discomfort when bending it feels like all the muscles are being stretch when bending, also there is a slight shape change in that breast, this was the end of January and I’m still waiting for MYA to receive my hospital notes from there head office which can take up to 4 weeks before a surgeon will see me. So I’m no closer to finding out what happens next

I think mine may have ruptured. I’m going to see a different surgeon with different company next week. Did you get your scan which confirmed rupture through the nhs or private?

Hi, I’m nearly 6 years post op and I’ve had awful pain and discomfort for 5 days now, Mya haven’t been the best no one seemed to want to help me, eventually a nurse told me to speak to my gp for a scan but when I spoke to him he said take ibuprofen for 3 days then see how I feel. He thinks the nhs won’t provide a scan. Did you have an mri scan or ultrasound and how did you manage to get it through the nhs? I’m almost certain my implant is ruptured but no one is listening to me, it feels like it’s not part of my body now if that makes sense!
