Incisions steri strip removel 3 days early

Hi so I’m allowed to remove the steri strips on Tuesday 26th sept!! My surgeon likes he’s patients to keep the strips on for a whole month, but surely taking them off 3 days early won’t hurt? I just want to bath as keep getting dry skin and it’s making me feel so dirty 🙁
Any advice would be great thank yu xx

It wont hurt to take them off iv not had mine on for a while now an i was about a week afyer you having the op xx

Oh really, how long did you have to keep yours on for? And how early did you take them off? Xx

I haven’t had mine on since day 7, mine are healing fine. I’m sure 3 days early is not going to make a difference, just don’t put any body wash or anything on the incisions xx

Okey dokey will remove them today then so can actually lay in the bath…hope nothing goes wrong ahhh hahaa thank yu xx

I had my dressing took off at my 7dpo check and had nothing on since. I was just told not to put soap directly on my incisions and not to have a soak in the bath until I have seen my surgeon at my 6wpo. Xx

Oh she said I can take mine if in shower on 26th and said I can wash that part….I think’ now I’m confused lol will call them I think xx

It might be different for me as I had dissolvable stitches? I know every surgeon has different way of doing things but ye I’d ring them just to be sure. I’m only 4wpo aswell and my scabs have only just come off so that could be another reason xx

Oh ok that’s good….you had scabs? I don’t have any stitches on outside, there inside xx

My surgeons the same..have to leavr steri strips ob as long as possible and i have extra to replace if they come off before 3weeks. Apparently it helps yo smooth out the scars? Im sure 3days wont hurt though as some ladies have been strip free since day 7

I don’t have any stitches on the outside that’s why I don’t think it would make much of a difference. Xx
