Hey! I’m on my second day post op and having real issues with my left breast! I’m 5”2 9 st and had 375cc high profile smooth implants with an uplift.

Not sure if it’s normal but I can’t feel the same thing on the right side which is making me panic. I can feel eye watering stinging from the stitches underneath my left breast all the time. The only time I don’t feel it is if I lay down. When I stand up I have to support it with my hand. It’s almost like it can’t take the weight. Has anyone else had this? Does this subside after a time or should I contact the nurse?

    Help!

Also – I was 127llbs when I went in and 136.6 the day I came out. Whole body is a bit puffy – is this normal too? 😳🙈

Hey chloe, just want to reassure you about the puffiness and weight after general anaesthetic it really does make you swell up and retain fluid. Also the compressed bra is pushing all of the swelling down into your abdomen. For a week straight I honestly looked like i was pregnant and it was so uncomfortable. I wasn’t on any paint killers either. However, if you’re taking codeine that makes it a lot worse and can cause constipation. I used a laxative and also drank lots of water and it slowly started to go down, so don’t panic it’s not true weight! Peppermint tea also helps with bloating!

Sorry about your pain? I’d ring the nurse just to give you peace of mind. Each boob heals differently, but of course you’ll want to just check the stitches are okay etc! Hope the rest of your recovery goes smooth! I know it’s a bit of a rough journey! I’m 7 weeks post op now, and I promise it’s all worth it!!! Xx
