Ive fell in love, My op journey yesterday

I loved to read all the posts and see photos so thought I’d share my op day story with you all….
I arrived at First Trust Preston at 10:45 and was taken to my room at 11:15, was told to put on the gorgeous paper knickers and gown provided and to do a sample and that the nurse would arrive shortly. Sat talking to mum until the doctor arrived who asked a few medical questions and listened to my chest, about a hour later the nurse arrived to take my obs, ask more medical questions, put my admission bands on. Whilst the nurse was there the anaesthetist came to explain about me going off to sleep, also Mr Traynor came and got me sign a consent form, see if I had any questions and to draw on my chest. The nurse said they saved her a job as she usually tells u who will be coming along to see you after her but they all turned up in the miss doe of her admitting me. A short while later a nurse came to take me to theatre. Had a lovely chat whilst she hooked me up to monitors and put my cannula in, it’s just a slight scratch, the more u relax the less u feel then the anaesthetist came and explains he would give me morphine, anti sickness and antibiotic before the anaesthetic. The morphine made me feel like I was going sleep already the rest is history until I woke in recovery. Was taken back to my room and put into my bed then they went to get my mum, person who with u waits in Day room whilst u go to theatre and until you are back and in bed. Had obs checked and jug of water got, wow was I thirsty. then was left for half hour to come around a bit more. At first I didn’t dare look as I had a image In my head of what I wanted my boobs look like and new I would b gutted if they were any different, i managed look and they were just as I wanted them. Was then helped to the loo, I did ask soon as I woke up but was told would have be a bed pan u till I was more awake so I held it in lol. Nurse then got me a biscuit to see if i could keep it down. I was so hungry but that biscuit was so hard to eat with my mouth been so dry, forced it down with sips of water. She also helped me into my bra. Felt really tight but very supportive. Nurse came do more obs and got me a sandwich and cup of tea. Mr Traynor came to see me and asked if I was ok and tell me all had gone well. Nurse came every half hour check my obs. After 2 hours I got dressed, with the help of mum, more obs done then the head nurse came rookie cannula out and went through after care and meds I was taking home. You get a implant guide book to with ur personal implant stickers on the back. I was home for 8. The pain really hasn’t been to bad except for when I woke in the night and was really stiff and tight, soon as I up n walked a bit it eased off. I’ve took paracetamol and ibuprofen switching every 2 hours since I left and they take most the pain away. Feel great this morning just a bit bruised under my new boobs. The one advice I would give people is look at photos and comments on here because I loved to myself but TRUST YOUR SURGEON with sizing. I worried myself sometimes about the size as I saw they looked so different on lots of girls, would they b to small or to big. Every one is different and as long as u tell ur surgeon what you are after go with what he says as mine are PERFECT. I am so in love with them already it is unreal and they need to drop yet, I feel so much better in myself already. I will upload photos once I get home from mums and am settled.
Sorry for the huge post but thought I would let you all know how the day runs and to say trust ur surgeon and please don’t worry at all enjoy it. Definitely the best decision I ever made. I was a 32A and had 350 overs, enjoy your journey girls it is amazing xxxx

And the worst part is if ur back itches. I had my mum keep scratching mine then she got me a wooden spoon for in the night haha. I have a extendable back scratcher at home so should be ok. Just waiting for hubby pick me up can’t wait to show him my new babies. Xx

Never ever took pics of my before boobs until I was booked for my BA. 350 hp overs. I’m so happy with the result. Recovering really well just my left boob is realy tender, even my bra hurting it xx

Your boobs look great..I’m having Mr Traynor and overs too. I convinced myself that I was having unders so it’s great to see pics of overs. Xx
