    Hi girls,
Just wondering what everyone’s experiences were like getting measured?
I don’t have a bravissimo or boux Avenue in town so made do with Debenhams.
I was so excited beforehand but left feeling so confused, disappointed and unattractive.
Pre op I was wearing a 34B which I’m guessing now was the wrong size, been measured a 30F but it was so uncomfy so I pushed for a 32 band which she reluctantly let me try so 32E feels better but she wasn’t happy with letting me have 32.

I was expecting it to be exciting trying on different styles / pretty bras & feeling attractive making my new assets pretty!
Every bra she came back with was a plain white / thick strapped granny bra ???? I feel so unattractive in them but obliged and bought the best one of a bad bunch. I’ve decided now I’m taking it back.

Anyway just wondered if this is everyone’s experience or I’ve just had bad luck.
I still don’t really believe what I’ve been sized as is right, it wasn’t comfortable and gaping between the boobs where from what I’ve read it’s meant to sit flat also was ridiculously tight I had so much backfat! I just didn’t feel pretty at all!
I feel better in the £5 Bralet I got from primark!

Do I just need to go somewhere else, or take this as a guide and buy some pretty bras online? Any help appreciated xxx

I’m sorry you felt like that I haven’t had mine done yet. She was probably jealous of your boobies haha
If it was me I’d take it back and go somewhere else and see what they come up with size wise and then buy online. There’s so many pretty ones don’t settle for granny Debenhams lol x

Judging only by your profile picture I’d agree with the band size 30. It will feel tight as you get used too it but all your support comes from your band.

Sadly, its hard to get a decent bra in my experience! Most I’ve seen look granny (I’m a 30FF) I get mine from boux avenue and they are fab. Wonderbra are sometimes really good too so definately check online if you don’t have any local stores xxx

Hey if you don’t think your measurement is right try boob of bust. I’ve not been measured by a shop yet, have just used that and so far all my bras fit perfect, although I do go up a band size as it’s more comfy. My BoB was 30G so I’m wearing 32f.
Ann Summers have nice bras in and even have some 30 bands. I got a 30g the other day.
At the mo they have offers on for bras for a tenner and I wouldn’t consider them granny bras!! I’ll attach the pic of one I got the other day.
Don’t let that one bad experience get you down hun xx

I have been measured twice at Debenhams pre op- both rubbish experiances.

Once was for a nursing bra which the lady told me they didnt do bras small enough for me and i left in tears- had a lovely experiance in m&s.

Second time, in a different Debenhams, i was also measured at a 30 band. Litrally couldn’t breathe it was so tight and left red marks just from the short time i had it on.

Im 7wpo but still not been measured… but i definitely wont be darkening Debenhams door!

Thanks so much girls. I’m going to try somewhere else and also boob or bust. Honestly it was so tight I felt like it was squashing my lungs! @mae14 that looks great on you, that’s just what I was after, I will deffo try Ann summers then, I had heard they weren’t great at measuring but maybe I’ll just go and try and a few sizes and see what feels right 🙂
@samaj033 I’m glad I’m not the only one! xx

@amberlu1 honestly if you can get hold of a tape measure I’d recommend measuring yourself with the BoB calculator and then just use that when picking out a bra!
I went to Ann Summers at like 5 weeks as I was impatient and they had me in 34 bands!! When I’m only a 30!!

Maybe go up a band and down a cup like I did! I was a 30g but 32f more comfortable. And you can easily find pretty bras in that size xx

@mae14 have you not tryed a 32FF as this is the sister size of 30G…. my bob size is 30G Boux Avenue was 34F xx

Amber I’d recommend doing your boob or bust measuremt order some bras from somewhere like bravissimo or bra stop Boux Avenue in s couple of sizes and have a fitting yourself at home xx
