Had my op on Monday. I must say the worst part about this whole process is lack of sleep. I love my sleep anyway and can usually sleep anywhere.. however I can not seem to drop off for more than 2 hours at a time, day or night.
I’ve tried v pillow, batwing pillow (both together), surrounding myself with all the cushions of the sofa. On the bed, on an air bed, and in the corner of the sofa and I cannot get comfy anywhere. It’s not actually my boobs causing the problem my back and bum ache so much! I’m usually a side sleeper 🙁
Does anyone have any tips? I got my partner to lay me flat for 10 mins earlier and the relief was amazing! Just don’t want to hinder my results by laying down for any longer length of time. Xxx

@amber I had your same problem. I loved my sleep and I was a side or front sleeper so sleeping on my back and at 45 degrees was killing me. Specially the first week was horrendous. I found relief putting a pillow under my legs (just under my harmstrings/knees. Try this out – hope it helps! And just remember, this is only temporary and totally worth it 😉 x

I hardly had any sleep the first night on Tuesday. I’m a side sleeper and hate anything touching my back lol. Iv been using three pillows around me and my v pillow and then putting a pillow under my bum aswell and that’s helped loads. my back is killing today though. Can’t wait to sleep proper again lol xx

I feel your pain Hun, but no pain, no gain huh? Well that’s what they say anyway….the things us women put ourselves through!
As I understand tho we only need to sleep propped somewhat upright until the swelling goes down ( mines reducing quite good) and then we can sleep with our normal pillows as long as we are on our backs? I’m usually a side sleeper, well more in my front really I even slept on my front whilst pregnant, I long for the day I can return to my normal sleeping position! Xx

I to am a side sleeper and it’s been hell. I’ve been allowed on my back for a week now, but I still don’t sleep properly and just want to turn over and curl up!

When sleeping upright I found a pillow under my bum with 2 pillows and a v pillow behind was the only way I could get sleep. But most of the time I napped in the day tbh! Xx

Thanks for the replies girls good to know we’re all in the same boat. I’m going to try not to nap today and then prop myself with pillows under legs and bum and hope I’m so tired I just sleep! xx
