Hiya, few questions from your own experiences-
    – when did you girls start driving after OP?
-after a week can i take the kids to school by walking and have the baby in pram and be able to push the pram after a week?
    – I’m having overs, is recovery quicker so I can hold baby and be able to feed him with bottle ok?

Just need a heads up of what is to come with children and a baby involved. I’m having a week off so no need to do anything for my first week of recovery. Thanks girls xx

Hi Em, for me personally I started driving small journeys at about ten days after. Getting into fifth gear was hard, but otherwise driving was ok.
I started doing the school run four days after, although I don’t use a pram and I’m very close to school.
I’d allow extra time to walk up, as you’ll be moving slower than normal. If your having overs, you’ll have a quicker recovery than me, so you may feel ok pushing the buggy. Just be careful and ask for help if you need it xxx

Hi I had overs and have an 11 month old. I started driving after day 4 but my car is an automatic. I could pick my little up after day 5 but carefully. And was doing the school and day nursary run after a week. Hope this helps

Hi em, I have a young son and I was able to look after him from day 5 and drive normally with no pain from day 7. I didn’t really pick him up properly until almost 2 weeks post op (he’s heavy! Lol) I had unders. Hope that helps xx
