Hey, I have an 11 month old daughter. How long do you think it would be before I can look after her alone again? Just sorting childcare . At pre op the nurse said I could still lift her I just had to keep her close to my body rather than arms out, but wondering how long I’m gonna feel up to picking her up etc. Thanks xx

Im avoiding lifting my son for as long as possible. He will be 15m and hes heavy! My partner is taking a week off to look after him and then my 12 year old daughter will help the following week as its the easter holidays. X x

I’m also most nervous about this. Mine will be 8 months and just turned 2. I’ve got help planned most of the first week but worry if the older one jumps on me or gets upset I can’t pick him up/cuddle etc properly! Xx

I had a 12 Months old and 4 year old at school. My mother in law and husband looked after them for the first 5 days or so but from day 7 I had them on my own and did the school run. I was just careful lifting the youngest and used the pram Instead of carrying him anywhere. I was still able to do washing and light housework etc pretty much from day 1 though. You’ll be fine just be careful and only lift them when necessary. Xx
