Lost sensation in one breast

Hi all, I had my op about 14 hrs ago.
I noticed straight out of surgery that I had lost all sensation on my left breast. The right is fine.

I have a lot of dressing on and strapping which is all very tight and snug.

I was just wondering should I be expecting the sensation to come back in my left breast?

Anyone else had this?

I had hardly any sensation in either sometimes one sometimes the other. It came back over around 1/2 weeks. Nothing to worry about your nerves need to reconnect which you’ll start to feel over the next week or so. Yay congrats on the new boobs. Happy recovery.

I’m 3 months post op and still have loss of sensation x

Hi I’m 7 weeks po and still have no feeling in my left nipple or my right underneath! Don’t think I’ll get it back now!! 🙁

I’m 5 months post op I still have some numb areas between my nipple n scar…. ur notice different types of pain/discomfort coming n going (all bearable n normally like the odd shooting pain or bruise feeling) over the next few weeks for me it was about week 8/9 all this stopped and morning boob stopped completely, it can take up to a year to fully recover n all sensation come back everyone is different but I wouldn’t worry, you may find your nipples become overly sensitive for a while aswell like clothes etc feels like scratching but it’s all normal XX
