Hi ladies quick question for post of girls.
I’m 2 wk po and I’ve just noticed a lump on my vein. It’s on my wrist and it’s the hand I had the cannula, I saw the pharmacy and they suggest I rang 111 as it could be a clot but she wasn’t 100% sure. So I did and they said keep an eye on it and see my gp asap on Monday morning.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this?

If it’s any possibility that it could be a clot as the pharmacy said I would suggest you go a&e and get it ruled out don’t mean to panic you but if it moved by Monday you won’t be here to get it checked… xx

Well i thought that but the 111 lady made it sound like it wasn’t much to worry over I don’t know if I should ring the mya nurse and see if they have ever had this happen before xx

Panic over i called mya and the nurse said it’s quite common and to follow 111s advice or I could go to them on Monday to check it out. So I’ll go to my gp as it’s closer to me !!

Claire, I have a little lump and it’s tender on the hand where my cannula went in, I had my op same day as you. Would you let me know what they say when you see them?

Sure, have you spoken to any one about yours? When I rang 111 they asked alot of questions and I’m assuming if id have said yes to any of them they would have told me to go to a&e. She said because of the answers I had given I could wait untill Monday to see my gp but I need to keep an eye on it

I haven’t spoken to anybody, I just assumed it was normal but it wasn’t there when I went for my 7 day check up, it was tender but I thought it was as to be expected. If it’s still there Monday, think I’ll go to the gp or maybe to a pharmacist tomorrow. Got me worried now.

I was fine, after day 7 the cramps went and I felt sooooooooo much better. First day back was a bit tiring but as each day it got easier and easier every one at my work know about the surgery so everyone’s been really supportive and keep asking if I need any help. Are you back at work? How are you getting on? Xx

Ahhh that’s good to hear. I go back on Wednesday, I’m a bit worried though, I’m a healthcare assistant for the elderly on a hospital ward and it’s very physically demanding, our shifts are also 12.5hrs long. Tbh I’m not sure I’m ready. I also told my colleagues about the surgery, they were very supportive, I think I’m going to need them come Wednesday.

I feel recovery is slow but I know I have to be patient. I’m also not in love with my results yet. Also I know patience is the key here to. Just feel slightly down after the whole process x

Oh yes your job is alot more active than mine I’m a finance assistant so the heaviest thing I ever need to move are the files! I guess dont be afraid to ask for help?!
If im honest I didn’t like mine to begin with, I though I had gone to big and because of my long chest bone they looked so weird but I put it to the back of my mind and kept thinking the swelling will go and they will start to change soon. I try to look and take a picture every 2 ish days. They change so much each day, they still sit low but it’s something I’ll never be able to change it’s just where my natural boob is. Mr Netri said some people have naturally high boobs some don’t so I’ll learn to live with it aslong as they are bigger than my old ones haha.
Try to keep thinking about how much they change and we are only 2 weeks post op to be fair, I actually found they changed more when I got back to work and was moving more so you may find the same? Once you are back to work and up moving around all the time they may drop/fluff more.
Also remember we are all different and our boobs will all be different but fabulous in their own way 🙂 xx

Awwww you are so reassuring, thank you. I know we have a long way to go. I had Mr Netri also, he would only go to 300 on me, my partner says they’re huge but I don’t think so. Time will tell xx

Claire did you see your GP about the lump on your vein? Do you still have it? x

Yeah and yeah, she wasn’t concerned with it. She said if the area was swollen or red then it could be a clot but it’s not so it’s should go in time. If it stays for a long time or I’m concerned then I can go back again x
