So I’m 11 days post op and im struggling abit now. I’m tired of my sports bra for my boobs (they all feel so tight!) but mainly of my vaser leggings for my thighs. Wearing them 24/7 is really getting to me! I can’t sleep that well in bed as I get so hot. Also during the day is hard as they don’t conceal well under things. I wore jeans over them today and a)they looked awful and b) was so hot and tight! By the end of the day I couldn’t get to get home and rip them both off! My brushing has got a lot worse so has my swelling. It feels like my legs are going to explode with the tightness. I feel like I need to stick a pin in my legs to relieve some pressure 🙁
I wasn’t advised too but I’ve been reading online that lymphatic drainage massage helps with the swelling and hardness? Did anyone have this ? Would you recommend it? Xx

Hi hunnie.. I cant believe you bruising!!!! thought it would have got better not worse!!
I had lymphatic drainage massage last Friday (included in procedure)
They used like a suction thing that drags the fluid up to your glands to help the swelling go down.. some places just use massage techniques for the same result.. I didn’t feel loads of benefit because I was already pretty recovered but I think it would definitely help you hun. Really feel for you hope it gets better soon.. are you using arnica cream? arnica tablets? xxxx

I’m not sure really about the bruising. I’ve read mixed reviews online saying some had no bruising some had loads. I except brusing as I have always bruised easily but it seems to have gotten worse not better over the last week 🙁 I have also read on line legs can take longer to recover due using them all the time and the way they drain fluid etc. I’m still wearing my garment 24/7 as advised. Im also coating my legs in arnica and taking arnica tablets (they don’t look like tablets just these little tiny round balls) . I’m not really sure if they are helping. I’ve found a therapist who does lymphatic drainage not far from me so am hoping to get booked in to start. Still find sitting on the toilet painful and bending at the knees. The swelling is worse than the bruising. By the end of the day I struggle to hide them at work! I’m 13 days post op now so not sure if I’m just being impatient xx

Omg your legs look so painful! Poor you!! But yea I can imagine legs are a lot worse due to walking. I haven’t bruised at all apart from down my sides where my 4D vest is so tight! I had my first lymphatic drainage massage last night. It was manual so she didn’t use any machines. Very gentle but not sure how much of a difference it makes! But it can’t hurt I guess. Defo get urself booked in if u haven’t already. It’s very relaxing! I ended up snoring. Haha! X x

Thanks girls. After posting this I got a call from a nurse asking to move my appointment forward just so they can check me over and make sure nothing is wrong. I had a lymphatic drainage massage today which was great! Think it def helped with the swelling xx

Hi ladies, I’m about 12 hours post op from vaser on my upper/lower abs and flanks. I’m actually doing okay just can’t sleep (hence being awake at 5am!). I might just give in and go see what rubbish movies are on Sky haha. How do I book lymphatic drainage massages? And how much are they? I was treated at the Manchester clinic xx

I had mine in Bexleyheath near london. Not cheap at £50 per hour but I’m hoping as I have quite bad bruising and swelling this may help xx

Has it helped with your bruising? I’m slowly stiffening up now, it’s been about 24 hours since my op now! How long were you sore for? I can’t wait to take this garment off tomorrow and shower – at least I’ve stopped leaking so much now 😀 xx

Yeah I def think the massage helped. My bruisng an swelling seems to have gone down. And it felt nice and relaxing! I leakwd for a good 48 hours hun. Blood everywhere when I went to the loo. But it stopped soon enough and I’m healing nicely now. The first shower feels awesome! I had to do it in 2 stages as I had a BA done too. Had to week over a week for a proper full shower was heaven! Xx

Thanks hun, today has been pretty rough! I’ve been vomiting all day and have a killer headache. Can’t keep anything down and daren’t have a shower because I feel so awful that I think it’ll make me feel worse.
I’m hoping I’ll feel better tomorrow! xx

I’m sure you will hun. Is never had anesthic before so didn’t know how I would react, I had my op on a Friday and vomited all day friday and all day and night sat. It was awful. I couldn’t keep any pain killers or anti sickness tablets down. Luckily I slept it off Sunday and felt a whole lot better Monday. I think it takes a while to get out your system, you will feel better soon.y family kept making me get up and walk about which I’m glad they did as think it helped me recover quicker. I kept my incions dressed for ages too as I just felt better knowing they were protected and stopped any leaking. Happy healing hun xx

Yeah I think it was the anaesthetic because I feel so much better today. Yesterday I couldn’t even keep a cup of tea down it was awful but this morning I felt loads better – I think it was possibly also a reaction to the co-codamol which I’ve stopped taking now. I had my first shower today which was nice and I could see a big difference which has cheered me up! Yesterday I was so miserable I was just thinking ‘What have I done to myself?!’ but today I’m starting to see the results so it was all worth it. I’m considering cutting my 4D vest at the back because I’m struggling getting into my uniform for work and it’s really rubbing underneath my arms – has anyone else done this? I don’t think it’ll make any difference as I’ve not had vaser on my upper back and it just makes me look like a hunchback haha!xx

Hi girls have any of you followed a strict diet after vaser?? and how where you had your legs done has it left little indents and like a line near your bum?? if this makes sense.. xxx @amylouk

Hi Kerrie, I’m cutting out any foods known to be inflammatory such as dairy, wheat, gluten, caffeine, sugar etc as my mum is a dietitian and says this will help with swelling. I’m also having lots of fresh veg/fruit juices but I always make those in the mornings anyway @kerriexxx

Hey hun , no I’ve actually been naughty with my diet the last few weeks. 🙁 I just wanted nice recovery food and something that didn’t take too much prep as didn’t feel like cooking! I did try and drink lots of water and have a lot of protein if I could tho. I’m being good from this week! Ermm I don’t think I had any indents. I had weird bruise that was a straight line going just under my bum if that’s what you mean. Il be putting some pics up in abit if you want to have a look xx
