I’m having my surgery on a Tuesday (7th Nov) and it’s very likely we will be invited to a family meal on the Saturday 11th. I’ll be 4 days post op. From your experience will I be able to get through it with an outfit that covers my bra & not have people realise? Pain wise were you ok 4 days post op to get through a few hours at an evening Meal?
    I’m having unders, teardrops
It’s hubby’s family and I don’t fancy discussing my boobs with the in-laws!

Im only 2 days post op so i have no idea if things will change but at the min i feel great, havent had hardly any pain at all only slight discomfort an even that is much better today. I would be able to get through a meal with how im feeling so i would say you would be fine but then again we all recover differently. My dad will be coming to see me today an he doesnt know about my ba, i kept thinking id have to come up with some excuse about not been well to stop him from coming but i honestly feel fine so theres nothing he will notice. As for clothes to cover up i think you would manage to find something. I have strapping on at the min so not in a bra yet but somthing high to your neck would be fine xx

Hi you’ll definitely be able to wear something that will cover it up! I’m nearly 4 and a half weeks po (teardrop partials) and seen the future in laws twice since my op – no one has blinked an eyelid (although I haven’t had them on display as they still look a little stuck on at times!)
Pain wise personally I couldn’t have managed an evening out however I know lots of girls on here have recovered quickly. The reasons being for me are that at Day 4 I wasn’t very mobile… I was finding it hard to reach, pick up a cup without a straw, found it difficult to cut food on my plate, I was uncomfortable to sit for too long or to be up for too long, I had to sit very propped up and felt extremely tight and sometimes sore. I also tired out quickly and was still having the odd nap. I went out on day 5 to a cafe for a total of around 90 mins for the journeys and drink, fell asleep in the car on the way back and then had a 2 hour nap at home as it completely wiped me! However please don’t let me put you off as everyone’s recovery is so different! You could always book yourself in and then if you didn’t feel up to it just say you’re not well on the day 🙂 xxx

Hello. As every girl is different i’d reccomend the best way forward is to tell your family you will be there as normal and if you still are in pain just say your bed bound with a “flu” x

I had unders and managed an hour long meeting on day 3 post op but it was a struggle. Now 7dpo and bring out for more than 2 hours puts me in quite a lot of pain still. If you go just take it super easy and you should be ok. Just lots of rest before and after xxx

@pinkwishes I think you’ll be fine. I went out for my father in laws birthday when I was 2DPO, I just wore a button up shirt dress to hide everything. I just made sure to have my pain killers with me in case, but they were all well aware of what I’d had done xx
