MRSA Advice

Hiya!

I have my op on Tuesday 15th Jan- 2 days to go!

I work in healthcare so unsurprisingly my MRSA came back positive- I didn’t get the results until Friday (5 Days before my op!)

I have the body wash/nose gel treatment and will finish it on the morning of my operation- reading other threads on here most other girls have to wait for three negative MRSA swabs, however my hospital seemed to be ok with my doing the 5 days treatment and coming in for the operation as planned on Tuesday.

Just wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences?

I work in healthcare and I came back positive for MSSA so very similar, like you say I was given a week course of hibiscrub and nasal ointment, I was never tested again and my op went ahead as planned, I’ve just had revision surgery and it never showed up this time x

Thanks Jamie, that’s reasssuring to know that I’m not the only one that didn’t have to retest and that the Op went well!
