Ok guys I’ve got my surgery in just over 3 weeks and I’m looking at M&S bra’s because I’ve heard the MACOM bra’s aren’t the best quality anymore and for that price, I want quality. My surgeon and PC has recommended the M&S ones, but going off sizes and what people have said, I’m sensing I should go up a back size and quite a few cup sizes as they seem to be coming up small? Any advise please? I’d be really grateful 🙂 xx

I’ve just bought the high impact ones. Think they are £25.00 and they come in black and white 🙂 x

I bought the macom one and went for the more expensive option thinking it would be better, I have never felt so much pain in my life! It was so tight like a corset despite it fitting with a bit of give in the band size before surgery. On day 3 I couldn’t cope anymore and I had my fiancé take me to Asda which is our nearest shop to buy the only zip up sports bra they had and it was such a relief putting it on. I could move my abs again and the pain in my boobs lessened significantly. £8! Compared to the £40 I paid for the Macom one! Now the swelling has gone down though it’s useful to wear throughout the day as I feel it’s helping to bring them in to the centre a bit more, sleep wise though not a chance, it’s back to my trusty ASDA one! Size wise I was shocked though but I’m putting that down to the swelling and my wide chest profile. I was a 30/32C before and the ASDA bra I bought in 36D and 36E, I use both depending on the tightness I need. I have no doubt that my band size will lessen once all my swelling has gone down but I had to go that high to get coverage across my entire boob as otherwise it was cutting in.

I’m 8 days post op. I was a 32 aa before and nurse recommended a 32D M&S bra. After surgery I just thought it was super tight because I was swollen but as the week went on I was beyond itchy and it was cutting into me so much, plus my boob was pouring out over the top of it. At my 1 week post op appointment yesterday the nurse suggested I defo get a bigger size. Now I’m wearing 34DD and it’s so comfy ??Xx

I’ve heard to go up a band size to allow for swelling but it’s just so difficult to be able to tell! I’ve heard bad things about the Macom one and even the PC told me the quality of them has lessened dramatically over the last few years so I refuse to pay it! But thanks for the advise ladies. I’ve bout a few sizes and i’ll Return the ones I don’t need 🙂 xx
