Hi ladies, I had my consultation yesterday with Emily who was lovely! Now the next step is obviously meeting the surgeons, did anyone shop around like go to other companies? I have researched a few but mya seems to look the best?? Also with surgeons would use Reccomend I met more than a few? Emily advised me that I would only need a week off work but I do 12 hour shifts day and night but sat at a desk? To be safe should I take two weeks or would 1 be ok? I understand it’s hard to say about time off as everyone is different xx

I had a week and half off work, throughout the week we I had minimal pain and by day 3 post op I was out of the house.
I work in an office and went back Thursday and Friday and really struggled Friday and was in pain I think purely because I hadn’t done much for a week. I think it’s different with everyone and every job xx

I shopped around and went to another company that I am, so far, really impressed with. And they were significantly cheaper than any other place. Got my op on the 20th December and absolutely cannot wait xx

I really think it depends if you have over or under the muscle. Unders are more painful and the recovery time significantly longer.

I went to MYA and met Mr Mounir nearly 3 years ago.
I haven’t looked anywhere else or met any other surgeons. I really liked him then, but I held off as I was trying for a baby. So I met with again this time round and still feel happy to go ahead with him.

I’m now booked in with Mr Mounir for 14th December. I felt happy and comfortable with that. But if I’d felt even slightly unsure I think I would have looked around a little bit more.

I booked for mid December so I could have more time off with Christmas holidays. I’m off for 3 and a half weeks after the op. But I’m an electrician so I’m worried as it’s such a manual job.
I think it depends on how you think you’ll manage and if you think you could cope.

    Good luck!!

Thanks Stephanie! I’m booking in with mr traynor to meet him on the 27th November and also mr Mounir in 22nd, I have arranged a constultation with harley street too today. How do you know when you have the right surgeon? Is it just the way he makes you feel after seeing him? Iv seen good and bad reviews of each surgeon xx

If I’m honest, I really didn’t over think it. I just felt comfortable.

He was dead honest with me. And told me he would only do unders (I’m too small for overs). He was also just dead friendly. I mean I haven’t met any other surgeons so I dont know what they’re like
    Xx
