Hi.. I didn’t go with mya due to my location and transport but have sworn by their forums since I started research.
I am 3DPO and i am not in a good place.
I was a 32a before and have had 350cc unders
I’m taking muscle relaxant every 6 hrs cocodamol every 6 hrs and ibruprofen after breakfast and dinner.
I have been told not to wear any bra for the first week which I was so surprised at and have no strapping or anything so I feel very vulnerable no support I literally have to hold myself every time I move.
I’m getting 2 lots of 2 hours sleep in the night and I’m at breaking point. My back is in pieces the tops of my legs are cramping… what is going on.
I also have developed a very chesty cough which naturally hurts every time.i cough

    Any advice at all?! Xx

Hey Sophie, sorry to hear that! Sounds like you’re not taking the painkillers often enough. They should be every 4 hours, and every 2 hours if your alternating between ibuprofen and paracetamol based analgesics (I.e. paracetamol every 4 hours). Which muscle relaxant were your given? Not heard of that being used post operatively before.
Incidentally, I’m having the exact same as you in 3 weeks so interested to hear how you get on! Feel better soon x

Hey sophie i took the pain killers and musle relaxant in between each other so i had relief most of the time. The nurse in mya advised and it really helped. In regards to the sleeping i was the same my back was in bits try stacking your pills so they go down with the last one under your bum cramps in my legs bad too so hhad to do streaches before and after i laid or sat or a period of time as i was worried about dvt the most. Its weird that your not wearing any support best to still contact the nurse for more advise good luck hun xx

Hey hon sorry to hear this.
I have two v pillows and they have been an absolute godsend, meant I’ve been able to sleep through the nights and I’m 2DPO.
I’ve been taking two codeine every six hours during the night and one every 4 hours during the day and felt next to no pain so far.

As far as strapping, I’m strapped up and still have to hold mine to walk around so confused as to why they advised you to go free! But listen to your advice.

    Hope you feel better xxx

    Hi Erin and Danielle
    Thanks for replying
I have spoken to my nurse and she’s told me I’m doing everything I can do it’s not that I feel I shouldn’t feel like I do.. it’s more that I’m finding it really hard to manage. I just want to sleep and can’t relax.
My muscle relaxant will run out tomorrow too.
Erin.. any chance you could upload a photo of your pillows I know it sounds silly. I just cannot get it right. But may be it’s just me. Cc

I don’t think il be able to get up from my sofa that’s the only issue… 🙁 I do feel like I completely underestimated how sore and challenging this would be!

I’m 1DPO and my boobs are quite red under the band, I’m in so much pain and just feel generally crap girls. I’ve been given co-drydramol and robaxin? Not really doing much for me tbh xx

I’ve just had my op today. I’m very sleepy and sore. Taking my meds helps. I hope I sleep ok tonight, I have a V pillow and neck support too.
