Okay so I’m booked in for dual plane 240cc on the 10th May and I’m SO scared already. I haven’t slept the last two nights. I keep worrying I won’t wake up from the general anaesthetic. Or I’ll wake up and something will have gone terribly wrong. Or I’ll be in unbearable agony and frightened. And so on and so on! This is probably ridiculous but I am even thinking of writing a will, I am that scared!! Am I stupid to go ahead with it when I’m this scared? I’ve wanted this for years but now I feel so scared I’ll regret it (or worse, die!).

Honestly I know it’s easy to say, but you’re in such safe hands! I had my operation on Monday, the staff were amazing in every way! I felt so nervous I was convinced I was about to vomit everywhere and they’d refuse my surgery thinking I was masking some illness or something (haha).
They do these procedures all day everyday, you’ll be a little sore, a little tight, a bit sleepy and it’ll feel strange when you wake up but it’s so worth it! And it doesn’t last long! I wish I could say more to help put your mind at ease, you’ll be absolutely fine hun! Best decision I ever made x

Hi Sophia, thank you so much for the reassurance. I am a worrier! So it’s really nice to hear positive experiences. I am trying to remember that statistically it’s unlikely anything will go wrong with the surgery, but my logical brain seems to shut down when I panic! So glad yours went well. x

Hey luv I had my surgery on Thursday, and I was so worried but what a good smooth day it was. The staff that day was absolutely amazing 10/10, I don’t normally wake up well with anaesthetic but I woke up fine, I have had no pain what so ever, it’s just been a good experience and so worth it!! I know I got along way to go but I’m so happy ???? you’re be fine hun xx

Hi Lou, I had my surgery yesterday. I was so so scared I’ve told my partner to say goodbye to our daughter and that I’m sorry in case something will go wrong. I felt so anxious and now I feel like a fool! I was so wrong everything was fine and smooth. Last thing I remember Before they’ve put me to sleep they’ve asked what’s my profession and I’ve told them I’m doing microblading (eyebrow tattoo) the nurses said they need one and then I’ve told them I will give them a huge discount if they’ll wake me up. The next think I know I’m awake in the recovery room. I had mastropexy and ba , the staff is lovely (I’m staying overnight) I can’t ask for better care, the staff is amazing . You’ll be absolutely fine ! X

Had my surgery yesterday. I’m finding it very painful but nothing I can’t handle – plus, that’s what painkillers are for, right?! The staff at FT were amazing, couldn’t fault them at all and loved Mr Netri, I’d recommend him to anyone. Zero regrets, can’t wait for them to settle now and feel more a part of me.

You’ll be fine, such an amazing thing to do for yourself x

Lou I’m very much the same. Got my op booked for beginning of June and I’ve never had surgery of any kind. Whilst my logical brain says there’s nothing to worry about, to them it’s like a dentist pulling a tooth then my irrational brain says PANIC PANIC PANIC!
But I know I’ll be fine and it’ll be worth it so keeping my irrational brain in check 🙂
