Op Day Story 13th Feb 2021

Had my op yesterday, day was perfect from start to finish! Quick back story, op was originally scheduled for Dec but postponed three times due to Covid. Had a bit of a faff with Mya’s admin not being as good as it should be, having to chase a lot of things myself and go for an extra blood test where they made a mistake but I have to say the staff themselves have all been lovely and friendly. The admin side has been the only real issue at times.

So, admission was 10am. Signed first lot of forms, went up to get changed etc and have pregnancy test. I was on my period so had to wear one of the hospital pads with my paper knickers (thick, cheap 1970s style be warned 😂).
Went down to recovery room to settle in and saw anaesthetist. More forms and general chat. The first surgery of the day (not Mya) was delayed for some reason so I had about a two hour wait. Time went really fast, read Kindle and was on phone.
About 12.30 they said I was about to go down. Into theatre about 12.45 and was asleep within five mins. Woke up in recovery room around 2pm and dozed on and off whilst staff popped in and out. Nurse asked me if I wanted my food about 3pm as I was feeling more alert. Had soup, crisps, orange juice and coffee.
No bra was on me so had a good look at the girls, I had overs and have only got small bandages over my incisions. Nurse helped me put bra on and said I’d be ready to leave at 5pm. Chilled for a bit then got dressed myself. My friend Jessica was also in so nurse let me pop up quickly to say hello which was lovely 🤗
My chaperone arrived, nurse walked me out and was home by 6.30pm.

I’ve been given antibiotics for 5 days plus codeine and paracetamol and I’m also taking ibuprofen. Pain wise is very bearable, it’s more stiffness and tightness than anything. Took first lot of painkillers 9.30pm and just had another lot at 4am.
The staff at Harley Health Village were all amazing and of course so was Dr Sleiter. Everything went as smooth as it could and it more then made up for the hassle leading up to the op and the postponements etc.

Thanks Chelsea, I’ve tried the screenshot it still won’t work. I’ve got a Huawei not sure it thats making the difference.

I had my op on the 21st of January. I also had doctor Sleiter. It was brilliant! I had a very similar experience to yours. I had 275cc hp over the muscle. I felt bruised and sore for the first few days. I only took the cocodemol once and stuck mainly to paracetamol and ibuprofen. After the first week was over, I haven’t taken any pain medication at all. I’m 3.5 weeks in and so far I’m loving the results. Can’t wait to see Dr Sleiter again at my 6 week post op assessment.

Hi Brigitte, I had my op on the same day as you and with Dr Sleiter as well. We must have been next door to each other. Glad you’re happy with the results and healing up nicely. I’m loving mine too!

Wow Carla, what a difference. They look fabulous both in a bra and free. If my results are anything like that then I’ll be satisfied. Hope you are feeling ok and that the next few days and weeks go well for you! xxx

Hi Becks thank you! They just feel very sore, tight and swollen. I’ve had quite a few painkillers today but hoping to reduce that from tomorrow. Can’t wait till they drop into shape but I love them so much already 😊
