Op next week an think im starting with chest infection

Hi ladies, i have my op next friday, started with a cold on monday an think it may be going on my chest, usually id just leave it as i rarely go the doctors but wondering if to try get some antibiotics? If id had antibiotics would my surgery be cancelled do you think? Really dont want it cancelling now!! X

I’m In exactly the same position as you I had a flu to start with now it’s turned into a horrible cough I’ve coughed that much everywhere hurts mines Wednesday so I’m praying I’m okay by then! X

Its a nightmare isnt it, no idea what will happen now just hoping an praying im going to be ok for surgery!! Hope you are feeling better too x

lauraj1987 how did it go? Ive had a cough and snotty nose following having the flu 3 weeks ago. My surgery is on wed. Its very mild though so hoping its ok. Did you have it still when you had your op?

jessicaxshepherd1996 did your surgery go ahead on the day hun? I think i have what you had. Taking forever to go. Im just left with a tickly cough and bit snotty! Had flu 3 weeks ago. I have my surgery in 2 days and hope im ok to go ahead x

I still had abit of cold but was fine to go ahead, fingers crossed for u x

Ah thats great news. Im actually feeling a lot better i used oil of oragano yest morning.. awful stuff and very strong but seems to have done the trick on my throat! Little stuffy nose but thats it. Yay! X x
