Hi, was just wanting some advice from others who have had surgery and if they had chosen the overnight stay or went straight home after the procedure? Not sure if its best to stay in overnight or to go home?

Heyy have you been offered a over night stay? I’m booked for Enlargement in Preston 16th April travelling from Birmingham, but wasn’t given option of over night, I’ve booked a hotel near by to stay over night instead of travelling back just hoping with lockdown the hotel doesn’t cancel out stay xx

I went to the Harley Health Village in London, travelled from Bristol, I was told i could stay overnight (at a cost) or stay in a hotel, because either way they like to see you the following morning to check you’re all well, I would ask if that’s the case with you.

I opted for the overnight stay because I thought it’d be easier and to be honest I was glad I did because I was quite sick after the anaesthetic. It was over a weekend too, so no issues with work and childcare.
I was allowed to leave 9am the next morning after being given all the meds to take with me and went straight home.

I guess it depends if you don’t have to travel too far, you also need someone with you for 24 hours afterwards because of going under the anaesthetic.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Im going to book for a consultation as i have been wanting this done for so long but just havnt been able to afford it until now. Ive been trying to research as much into everything i can so wanted to hear if people had stayed in afterwards as i know it is an extra cost and if it would be better to pay more and stay over or if people were going straight home. It would be good on this forum too if there were designated folders of photos from each surgeons work to look at which i think would be really helpful.
