So I’m having my surgery on the 30th of this month.. exciting. With me having to stay overnight, has anyone got any tips on things to take with me? my mind has gone blank haha

I’ve ordered a V shaped pillow, should I take it along with me or will they provide me with one for the night? Also did anyone pay the £5 for the wifi or is the signal good enough to just use 3G?

    Thanks ladies x

Hi! I had surgery 17 days ago, I didn’t take my v pillow with me, but the nurses made me very comfortable so it was no problem! I took some button up pyjamas but was exhausted and ended up staying in my hospital gown but it was good to have the option. Baby wipes were my life savers haha as you won’t be able to shower they really help….comfy clothes for travelling home is also a good idea, I fell asleep on the way home anyway but clothes that you find easy to put on yourself really help!
I paid for the wifi because I got no connection at all when I was there! But maybe that was just my phone.
I’d definitely advise stocking up on straws for when you get home, it made drinking a lot easier and also make sure things you will need are easily accessible for when you get home because even the simple things can become a challenge!
Good luck with the surgery xxx

@rebeccapierce95 Take a pillow and leave it in the car for on the way home to put between yourself and the seatbelt! I didn’t go with mya but I had to take flip flops to walk down to the theatre in! Magazines, you don’t know how long before you actually go down even tho you get an admission time! There’s only so much day time telly you can watch! Like Rebekah said baby wipes if it’s anything like mine I had the yellow stuff on my arms and everything when I came round! A bobble without metal on it aswell I tied my hair up before I went in and still managed to be sick in it when I came round but that isn’t the same with everyone I react badly to anaesthetic I either fight them or I’m sick! Good luck I bet your so excited now! X
