Hi girls. I have been lucky so far in that I have really suffered from much pain apart from the usual tightness probably helped by keeping on top of my pain meds. I was only prescribed 3 days worth however I am now 6 days PO and my boobs have now decided to to awaken! Shooting pains and an all round ‘dingy feeling (I’ve had lollipop lift as well as implants). I’ve been taking paracetomal however it’s just not cutting it! I was sleeping fine but now my back is starting to ache! I was told to avoid ibuprofen as it can thin blood and effect healing but I’ve seen on here others take them?

    Any suggestions welcome xxx

Hi, not sure about ibuprofen, i presumed you weren’t allowed to take them before surgery but I don’t know about afterwards. I was given cocodamol by the anaesthetist to take home which were a lot stronger than paracetamol, you can buy them at a chemist x

You can ring your GP and say you’ve had an op and need some short term stronger pain relief cos you’re in pain. I did that and got given a weeks course of tramadol and it worked wonders xx

Hey Hun, sorry to hear you’re in pain. I’m 5dpo today and I’m now worrying what tomorrow will bring lol. At the minute I’m struggling with sleep as I’m getting really bad back pain. Not had any boob pain…yet!
I stopped taking my codeine on day 2 as it was really making me bloated and I couldn’t go to the toilet. I’ve been taking one ibuprofen and two paracetamols instead every 6 hours (just for my back). The codeine made me a bit sick in hospital so they gave me 2 paras and 1 ibuprofen then so I don’t see there being any issues with taking it now xx

Thanks girls, I might try the docs. I was given cocodamol and they worked well but I’ve finished them now. I was sooooo bloated aswell, it is just starting to subside. Ah Christie my back is hurting me now aswell, I slept like a baby the first few nights but I’m struggling, I just could not get comfy last night! Moan moan moan …..hey I love my boobies though and just keep telling myself it’s all worth it. Xxxx

Hi ya, I’m sorry to hear about the pain your gettting at the moment. I was give a weeks worth of antibiotics and pain killers I was also told I could alternate between ibuprofen to help I think I was 3 days in when I stated to take it. I’m 12 days post now and I’ve only taken a couple a day since day 6. I just have to watch what I’m doing as to not aggravate it.
What place did you have? Xx

Hi Lex, if your cocodomal worked well you could try what was recommended for me but think you’d have to get your GP to prescribe codeine. I was on 2 codeine and a paracetamol iv at the hospital, now I’m home they said 2 codeine and 2 paracetamol, however the nurse said try 1 codeine
& 2 paracetamol (suggested this originally as I’m small but also to avoid the effects of the codeine). So far that’s what I’ve been taking and even though I’ve been bloated I know it could be much worse and the pain has been pretty well managed. I’ve had no sickness/nausea since my op day. Something must be going right as last night managed to last with no painkillers from midnight until 10 am! Xxx
