Periods on the day of the op?

Hey girls!

I have my surgery coming up on the 18th and I am worried last day of my periods can be on the day of my op. Is that ok? Did anyone else have the same?

Also, I don’t have the admission time yet. When does everyone usually get it?

I didn’t get my admission time untill the day before my op so don’t panic if it takes a while too, i wasn’t on my period but someone else had a topic like this which you should be able to search for, you’ll just have to stick a pad into the paper pants for theatre xx

I got my admission time 4 days before but quite late at night by email 🙂 as for periods you’ll just need to pop a pad in the paper pants as you can’t use tampons 🙂

Jelizaveta, I’ve just got my admission time now and my surgery is happening on Sunday. So no worries, you’re going to get it eventually before your surgery.

I’m also on my period now so I’ll try to wear my panties in a skin colour ( as suggested by one of the girls here) or if not then will just stick a pad to the paper pants like other girls do.

I was on my period when I had my surgery. Thry provided me with a non glamorous massive thick pad ? which I was grateful, but luckily I was fine.

Yes, this won’t impact upon your surgery at all. It’s just as other girls have said, you can’t wear a tampon and you’ll have to wear a pad within the paper knickers that they give you on the day. I was due on my period for my surgery so I made sure to ask the nurse about this, but luckily enough I ended up coming on two days early and it was all gone by the day of my operation.
