Post op 5 days

Hi I am post op 5 days I had 325cc over muscle round implant and to be honest my pain has been very little !! Ive had no pain relief today or yesterday day 3&4! Shocked as I thought I would be in much more pain ! I haven’t changed my bra yet as I’m scared to and I’m just wondering when can I take the stockings off ? Is 5 days later ok? Also is it normal to feel really bloated around stomach ? Apart from that I’ve had no issues a little pain in back but nothing in boobs 🙂

Hi Grace. I’m similar to you, I had overs and the pain has been minimal, just discomfort really. You can take off the stockings as soon as you are mobile normally (ie not laying in bed). You can swap your bra for another surgical one if you have one.
Can I ask, do you still have strapping on? I haven’t taken mine off (not sure if I’m allowed) but it’s making me so itchy I’m worried I’ll open my incisions up if I rub at them. Also I was told not to touch my breasts, just leave them alone as that helps the capsule form properly and prevents contracture.

Oh, and yes the bloating is normal. It’s fluid retention from the GA. It will go down soon.

Hi Grace, I’m 4 days post op, I had 325 unders and the pain has been very little as well! I guess we’ve been lucky from what I’ve read from other girls on here! I took the socks off day 2 as I was up and mobile by then, I think you just need them on while your bed bound!

I’ve took my stockings off today, I’ve been mobile since day 2 i didn’t feel I needed to lay in bed really and I’ve got my check up this Friday so I think ill wait till I go there to change my bra. Also what have use done about washing I’ve been in bath like a really shallow like warm one is this ok

Ive been mobile pretty much straight away too but just tried to not over do it just incase! I’ve already changed my bra and I had a shallow bath yesterday I was just careful not to wet around the strapped area so think that’s fine! Good luck for your first post op app! Mines not until Tuesday!

I’ve been having stand up washes since I don’t have a bath in my house, just a shower. The strapping is itching me so bad though ☹️. I’m mobile, have been since the op. I’ve not needed to stay in bed and have felt completely normal except for some bloating which I’m sure is just fluid retention from the GA. I started my masters on day 2 so was out at uni all day which made me pretty tired but otherwise I’ve been having to remind myself not to do too much, not lift anything etc. My post op is Tuesday too and it can’t come fast enough just so I can get the strapping off!
