Hi Girls! I had my 6 week post op check up with the nurse yesterday. She was happy with how my boobs are healing and how they’ve softened and dropped quite quickly (I haven’t needed to massage them). She’s advised I can start to wear normal bras and take a break from my surgery bra as well as sleeping on my side but I feel a little apprehensive to be honest. After my op I couldn’t wait to wear some nice new underwear but now I don’t want to let go of my surgery bra 😂 anyone else had this? X

Hey Katherine, I’m almost at 8 weeks post op and I’m the same 😂 I brought some plunge / sports bra and I only wear them when I’m relaxing after work but I put on my surgery bra when I go to sleep . Sleep I’ve started to turn a little on the side but now at nearly 8 weeks I do sleep on the side but I do make sure to switch sides .

Glad I’m not the only one! I couldn’t wait to wear some lovely bras and now I’m clinging onto my surgery bra 😂 x

Hello Ladies, I just had my op last week and was wondering how long they recommend sleeping at a 45 degree angle? My boobs look like torpedos at the moment. I really hope they soften and look more natural with time.

Hi Brigitte! Hope you’re feeling okay and not in too much pain. I slept upright for 8 days – from my op date to my 1 week nurses appointment and then I could sleep on my back but best to check with the nurse.

You’ll be surprised how much they’ll change when they drop! If you’ve had unders I believe they’ll take a little longer. The nurse may also advise to softly massage them if they need to drop a little more 😊 xx
