Post op appointments

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone can help me with when I should be having my post op appointments?

I just got off the phone to book my post op appointment as I’m booked for the 27th and the lady said I need to book for the 3rd which would be my 1week check.
She then told me my next one would be 10th and 17th. when I asked about the appointment on the 10th she informed me I would have to make arrangements with work to attend the appointment or I would be in breach of my aftercare.

I’ve looked and just read my timeline that they gave me on my first consultation and it says the 1st one is 4-7days after the op, 2nd is 6 weeks post op and the last is with the surgeon at 6-12 weeks post op.

Can anyone help?

I had an appointment at week 1 and week 2 and now having another at week 6. It’s down to the nurse you see to determine how many times you have to go back for your post op as it depends on how your incisions etc are healing.

I didn’t get to book it when I saw the nurse for my pre op as the appointments were on the system. Did you book the appointment you had on week two after your first?

Yeah so the nurse I saw on week 1 booked my second in during that appointment and then I went to reception and booked my 6 week myself x

Hmm I might have to talk with my patient coordinator as far as I knew all I needed to book was my first week post op.
The lady that I had on the phone was most abrupt and now I have an appointment every week for three weeks …… :/
