I’m finding buying a post surgery bra so confusing. How did people decide what size to get? I’m looking on Amazon at cheaper ones and it says based on my Hem or the circumference under my boobs I’m an XL-XXL. But based on my current cup size (32A) I’m a Medium. I have no idea what size to get!!

    Hi Lacey,
I’m not with MYA for my surgery – but, my plastic surgeon advised me which bra size to buy for post-surgery. You could ask yours?
I’ve also read on here to go a band size up post-surgery, which I guess makes sense as otherwise could be a bit tight/uncomfortable. So, I’ve gone for 34 rather than my usual 32. Then I went with the cup size my surgeon advised – he also advised to get two – and said they’d use the best fit one & I could return the other!
I went with M & S – they were around £20 each I think, so not too expensive at all x

I got my Macom bra as I’m having a big implant, 405cc, and felt that would give me the best support. I got a Macom I-bra in a size medium. I’m a 34b normally. The Macom size chart says to use your high street back bra size so 32 is a Small, 34 is a medium, 36 is a large, etc etc.
I might get a Lipoelastic bra as well as have read reviews that these are also good and will get that in a medium too.
I will probably try an M&S one after surgery when I know better what cup size I’ll be xx
