    Hiya gals.

I’m hoping someone can help me figure out the confusing world of post op bras!!!
So, I’ve never had a bra fitting before so I don’t know what official size I am. I’ve googled a bit and found that you measure on your ribs just under the bust and this is your band size. So I’ve got 32.
Now from what I’ve read, for post op you should go up 1 or 2 band sizes to allow for swelling. So am I correct in thinking a 34 or 36 should be fine?
Also I will be aiming for a D cup so should I buy a DD?

Finally I’ve seen a lot of post about the M&S high impact bra.
    Is this the one:

Sorry for the long post and all the questions!!!
    Thanks x

@georginaa-2 did you get 32 as the measurement or did you add inches on? As I measure up as a 28 but I wear a 30/32. Boob or bust is the best website I’ve found for measuring 🙂

If you go for the M&S one you’ll need to go up a back size definitely, they are super comfy so as the swelling goes down you’ll probably go back and buy another in your actual back size 🙂

Cup size will depend on what impants your having, did you ask to be a D/DD? I’d say probably go with the DD, you could always order both, and exchange one, M&S are fine with exchanges if you still have the receipt.

Also if you consider a Macom then don’t change back size, just buy your normal size.

@hannahlaura I measured as 32” should I be adding something on?

I’ve actually just been to m&s and managed to nab one for £9 in the sale! They only had a 36DD though so hopefully that’ll be alright.

I’m considering getting a Macom one too but have heard really mixed reviews!!

    Thanks for your help x

Use the boob or bust calculator it’s usually the most accurate. Go up a band size though to allow for swelling.

I couldn’t be bothered with the faff so I got a Macom. I practically live in it as it’s super comfy.

I’ve heard really good things about the M&S ones though! Xxx

I got a Recova bra and a Macom bra and LOVED the Recova ones – felt like i was wearing a semi normal bra! I still wear them to sleep sometimes and i’m 5 months post op.

@georginaa-2 if you look at boob or bust website it will give you a better clue of your size now :). You can work out your sister sizes from that result as well. What band size do you wear currently?

Macoms are great although I tend to just sleep in them, and wear the M&S ones in the daytime as they feel more supportive xx
