    Hi all,
I’m really struggling to choose post-op bras. I’m a size 34B at the moment and having 400cc high profile implants. My surgeon recommended I get a 36DD post-op bra to allow for swelling. I’ve bought 2 Asda sports bras in a 36DD now but they feel a bit big/loose on the tightest strap at the moment. They were only 2 or £8 though so I can’t complain.
The nurse I saw in Liverpool didn’t recommend the MYA bras and my surgeon wasn’t fussed on what I choose. Not sure on the Macoms as I don’t know whether to get a medium or large and I’ve heard some bad reviews that they dig into the incisions etc. What would you all recommend?
Also, I’ve bought a V shaped pillow and will get some arnica tablets. Is there anything else you’d recommend I buy?
Starting to feel nervous now as it’s less than 4 weeks away!

Hi hun. I bought the mya bras and i found them really comfortable no problems with them at all. As for after your surgery buy yourself some ice packs. They really help with the swelling. Also my hot water bottle was a godsend as i was in so much pain with my back due to sleeping upright xxx

I would really reccomend the yianna bra from Amazon as a cheap alternative to Macom. I was 34a and had 450cc and the medium is perfect for me. It’s so comfy I bought 3 and only £15. I have Macom and it’s fine I wear it but I’m really not gonna rave about it and far prefer my yianna bras. I have a large Macom, bought the medium which fitted fine pre op but straight after surgery was never gonna get round my implants. I exchanged it for the large and I wear it now on the tightest clasp. You will be massively surprised at quite how much swelling you’ll have. I didn’t really realise it’s only when I’m tightening the breast band which I previously thought was so tight I couldn’t breathe, that I can see how much swelling has gone done. I would say the loose Asda bras will be perfect fit post op, but if I were you I would pick up an Amazon yianna for £15 in a medium and bring both op day.
I also totally agree ice packs and hot water bottle. I also have a lovely wheat pillow for neck. And I found a sippy cup with a straw was a real godsend those first few days too! Don’t be nervous you’ll be well prepared and we’ll looked after! X

Id recommend the M&S sports bras few people might disagree but I found they are super comfy and when changing easy to get on and off and it zips at the front, when picking my bra I went for 2 cups sizes bigger one back size bigger and found its been fine, might of been bit tight on the cup to begin with but now im 5WPO had 550cc Overs HP and so comfy considering you have to live in them 24/7 xxxx
