Post op bras macom or M&S

Hi guys I’ve bought two M&S post op bras but starting to wonder whether I should of got a macom too or instead of. Any advice?

Hi @carlydavies27. I bought a couple of the m&s ones when I had my op. They’ve been great and still wearing them now 8wpo. I didn’t go for Macom because I’m tight and couldn’t find one cheap enough haha! The nurse on my op day thought the m&s ones were great so I wasn’t worried. X

Only issue with the M&s ones is make sure they’re big enough. Mine wouldn’t go over my swelling until like day 7/8 if you want a cheap Macom alternative I really reccomend the yianna bra from Amazon £15 and so comfy.

@lydiamay ah that’s good to hear! I’m usually a 32 back and I bought a 34 and I’m not sure it’s going to allow for much swelling :/ feels quite snug already. Wasn’t sure whether to get a macom as a back up xx

@gmb1309 this is what I’m worried about I’ve bought a 34 when I’m usually a 32 and it still seems snug. I’ll have a look on Amazon now thank you 🙂 x

@carlydavies27 I’m a 32 and bought 34. It fitted perfectly. Was a little snug at first but not too tight, just felt more supportive than it does now x

Just good to have options with you on the day I think @carlydavies27 I find these Amazon ones so comfy and the nurse said they’re great. I find the M&s one really supportive now but it was crushing me at first and you really just don’t know how your swelling will be. I don’t really rate my Macom to be honest. I have all three lol.

Debenhams do a high impact sports bra. £25 roughly but was on offer when i got it. for the first week, the swelling on me was massive and my Macom was hurting me so bad. The Debenhams bra was so comfy but fully supportive and was a god send. I wore it in the day and my Macom at night. Now my swelling has almost gone, my Debenhams is not as good and i have gone back to my macom as the Debenhams one is not tight enough. However was a god send for the first week.
