Hey hun ur chaperone is free to go when ur having ur op as they have to vacate the room due to hygiene reasons I believe . My mum nipped back home and they contacted her when I was out of theatre and able to see her.
I was an over night case but if ur a day case u don’t need much at all. They provide a gown and slippers.
U may want to bring some fresh juice to drink post op to uo ur sugar levels. Boiled sweets to suck on as ur throat may hurt (they stick a tube down it for breathing) a v pillow for journey home I’m case ur mega delicate. Phone charger/earphones/tablet The day will goega fast tho hun. Just make sure u have something comfy and light tht zips or buttons at the front as the weather imparting up again and it’s easier for u to get in and out.
Oh toothbrush and paste in case u throw up post op as this can happen to some girls
